MONTGOMERY, AL (WSFA) -
After a nearly four-year legal battle to clear his name, a judge ruled in favor of former Alabama State University Athletic Director Stacy Danley with a $140,216 judgement in his favor Saturday.

Baldwin County Circuit Judge James Reid was appointed to preside over the trial after a wave of judicial recusals delayed this case for months. The case went to trial in February, three years after the wrongful termination lawsuit was filed.

Bama State can't seem to win on or off the field. Where's MH at when you need him?
I thought Judge Reid was related to Joe Reed until I went back and saw the spelling.:snicker:

Why is it so hard to just fire someone according to their contract. Then our universities hire piss poor lawyers who couldn't win if they had a straight flush....and lord knows who ever puts together contracts are illiterate.

Either Sting or Olde Hornet said he got fired for thinking he ran the athletic department. Who could imagine an Athletic Director thinking that?

The man got fired for trying to fire an subordinate.

Well... President Silver got paid, Danley got paid and Im putting my money on Barlow is getting paid.

MH gone avoid this after all the the noise he talked.
umm why would I "avoid" this? And what "noise" are you referring to? I post little to nothing on here. So....

but I digress.....

I'm not like some of you blind sheep on here who try to act as if you agree with everything your school does.

I liked Danley's vision. He was always ready to talk and I didn't agree with his firing.

ASU has won 9 SWAC titles this school year and for the 2nd year in a row, the Commissioners Cup.

By the time everything is done and all of the cheating is uncovered, I am pretty sure all of those championships will be vacated... It's the ASU way.

That only equates to 35K per year for the 4 years (could be less if the attorney fees hasn't been deducted). Hopefully he has been working......

Please show me where I said that.

The Alabama Education Association (AEA) provided Danly's legal representation. A former ASU trustee was 2nd in command at AEA before retirement made sure he had legal counsel. Internal feuding is at the heart of ASU matter.
