We have twins coming in for next season from White Castle. It's actually 2 Gs and a Post player that we have to replace Coleman, Scott, and Jefferson. One twin is 5'8" and the other is 5'0"
 
I don't think anyone thought we would win the tournament this year. Freda and the team did a great job
 



Congrats Bama St. What happened. I go do a little farm work, and on the way home, I turn the radio on, we getting our azz kicked.

Couldn't score, no emotion, walking up the court on D, nobody getting involved on O. Too much! But you are right about one thing, we did get our azz kicked. lol

Brittney Wright and Co. put in work like I told you they would yesterday. Btw, she's the Tournament MVP and just a sophomore

It wasn't really Wright though, because I believe she scored like that against in the 2 previous matchups. It was your Center and team's ability of making shots(shot 50%), and our inability to make shots that really made this game different from the other 2 games.

Had to be a down year in SWAC women basketball...... a 10-8 conference teams winning the title... Bama State got hot at the right time and Texas So gave a title away.

Not a down year at all. It was like you said, Bama State got hot at the right time while Southern got cold at the wrong time.

I tried to tell your fellow SU poster about Wright. JP (the Center you are talking about) is a double double machine. We killed SU with the 3's in the first half

It wasnt a down year... TSU decide not to come and just go to WNIT, Southern was the second best team, third best team was Jackson then Alabama State...

The defensive game of Southern been week all season, Alabama State took advantage.....

Have you really looked at our schedule? We lost a lot of close games due to being young. Most of this team is freshmen and sophomores.

I have to disagree with that last statement. SU's defense has been tough all season. Go back and look at the results from their games in SWAC play. Alabama State was the first SWAC team to reach 70 against us, and we only allowed a team to reach 60 4 times in SWAC play.

I can agree with. SU plays good defense but today we just had better offense especially to open the game up with those 3's
 
Next season is going to be tough in SWAC Women's Basketball. Alabama State, Southern, Texas Southern, and Jackson State could all be good next season.
