Only in the SWAC does the player that leads the conference in ppg, rebounds, double doubles, and POTW awards named to second team all conference.
 
Well on the women's side, there was a player averaging 16.8 points per game. She is also is ranked second in the league. She was seventh in the league in rebounding averaging 7.2 rpg; seventh in free throw percentage (.738); first in 3-point FG Pct. (.393) and first in 3-point FG Made (48).
The sophomore has scored 20+ points in 10 games.She has been recognized by the Southwestern Athletic Conference as the women's basketball player of the week for her impressive performances six times this season.

And she didn't make 1st team?

What was this person's shooting percentage and how did it measure up to the players that made 1st team?
 
Not sure... Most points come of dunks so I'm sure his pct is pretty high... He averaged almost 19 Points...i don't recall a player leading the conference in scoring and not being first team.
 
SU had a baseball player in 2003, Antone Gray, who had 19 HR's, that was named 3rd team Louisville Slugger All-American, but didn't make The All SWAC team lol.
 
Whoever votes in these ALL-SWAC teams are complete jokes. This is why folks don't take the SWAC seriously, because apparently we don't either. Flashes of the same crap that was pulled with Desmond Cambridge and Obie Trotter. At least Obie made 1st team. I can't remember if Cambridge made 1st team, but he didn't get POTY which was utterly ridiculous.
