But I just came across this video today and just had to share it LOL

Haven't seen footage of this game since that night

You can hear the Jukebox crank "Hate Me Now" during the coin toss and I remember that just amping the crowd up and truly setting the atmosphere

Man I can't even lie, that was a good football day, from the tailgating up until the game...smh..man I miss those days...

It was hype as shat in that stadium

Didn't FAMU do a Pregame show or something..Lol..took dayum near the 1st quarter to get they asses bck in the stands

Yeah they did a pregame show...Bragg hasn't been that energetic since that night. This is why i wish this series had never stopped...imagine how crazy the series would be if we had never stopped playing each other on a home and home basis. That was a true rivalry.
 
Man, I can't lie. I love when Southern plays "You can hate me now"... I hated that isht as a player though.

Do you hear that Passion on this film. You mean to tell me that you rather schedule 2 FBS Schools than recreate the magic of HBCU Football.

Louisiana Tech will not bring this Atmosphere. Are SWAC Schools telling me that we at least cannot schedule one, just one MEAC opponent Home and Home? SU goes to Tallahassee, FAMU goes to Baton Rouge.

Are you all on HBCU Sports going to tell me this atmosphere is dead? I don't think so. We just are too lazy to make it happen.

Man the trash talking before the game was 0 to 100 and when I say trash talking..it came down to "man yall better gon somewhere wit that shat" talking LOL..

most trash talking would end with "yall have a good game" or "yall be safe" not that day, man my folks got into with FAMU fans about 10 times that night LOL

it got real quick when we pulled up them tail-gate grounds..man them were the days..

LMAO..man yall hung 42 or something on us in the 1st half...I recall PETE gathering the wholeeeee team around when it was like 28-0 or something LMAO..

shat had got real quick..
 
My wedding day! I remember some of my groomsmen going to the bar at the hotel to check the cnn ticker and coming back to the ballroom saying we're getting worked! SWACPAGE was fun back then too!

Ya'll got us back two seasons later, though...ya'll stormed the field that night and of course we turned them sprinklers on LOL

Look dude/chick SU will raise close to a million on two games which we will use to upgrade Facilities. Concern yourself with Alcorn.

That was fun :lol: . Who else fans would have the nerve to charge the other teams field and dance on the rattler head :lol: . Famu court even came and joined us :lmao: . A couple of Jags tried to tear down the goalpost but the police stopped them. I think one of my college friends still has a Famu endzone marker :lol: . Those were the days.

I was at that game. Man, that was an arsewhooping of epic proportions.

1998 and 2000 were classics... I was in Tally for the 1999 game (when we came in ranked No. 3 in 1-AA/FCS) and the 2001 overtime game. I was one of those people that was on the field before the students stormed the field after Villagarama (spell check) kicked the game winning field-goal.

I was on the bus coming back from Tally in 2001 with a dude that stole one of the 10-yard markers off the field at Bragg. Good times.

The atmosphere of Mumford and Bragg for those FAMU-SU games were something special. I wished we continued the home-and-home every year. Playing y'all in ATL was cool, but it wasn't like playing in Tally or BR.
