Harbaugh to Michigan a done deal?

Only problem with Franklin at Penn State is that he is kind of viewed as an a--hole. lol

But yeah Harbaugh isn't going to come in running things like folks think. Ohio State, Michigan State, and Penn State aren't going to go down without a fight, Nebraska and Wisconsin are always going to be in the thick of things, and folks are really sleeping on Minnesota.

Yeap, those expectations are going to be very high. He won't have a honeymoon with that salary. lol

I am just going to be interested in seeing who he hires for his staff.

Yeah that will be key. He has 6 recruits verbally committed to Michigan for 2015. Going to be hard to turn that around quickly.

Franklin fits right in with those Penn State people. LOL. He is going to win some games there.

I agree with you on Minnesota. Jerry Kill can coach and looks like whatever medication he is on has help the seizures not come as frequently as in the past.

The best we can do? By any objective measure, Harbaugh is one of the 5-10 best football coaches irrespective of level. People that matter (i.e., big-time boosters ) know this isn't a one-year turnaround. That being said, there's a misconception that he's walking into a bare cupboard. Even with an anemic offense, we still managed to field a top 10 defense. He'll have his work cut out fixing the offense, but the coaching upgrade alone should be worth 2-3 wins alone.

I love how the media is jumping all on Meyer vs. Harbaugh, but forgetting all about their in-state rival that has owned them recently too. lol

Because ultimately despite their recent success, Michigan State will always take a back seat to those programs. They don't have an extended history of success, kind of like Florida save for two coaches.

You heard that also? Is ESPN telling them to say that? Or are they pushing their alma maters? It's crazy the love and how ESPN is controlling college football...they can't say nothing bad about Charlie Strong despite them getting their tails whipped tonight but he didn't get this love when he was at Louisville

makes you wonder was Wisconsin paid to throw the game as everyone pushed Ohio State

History doesn't mean anything if that team is currently kicking your a--, and will continue to kick your a-- in the future. In the past I am sure the military schools, Tulane, and Notre Dame were great, but that doesn't mean anything now.

And no that is nothing like Florida. Florida has 3 national titles in modern history, and has had 3 Heisman trophy winners(should have been 4 if Rex Grossman didn't get cheated). And was a solid program in the 60s, 70s, and 80s. Being on probation stopped them from winning a national title in the 80s.

I don't know, they gave him a lot of love when they beat Florida in the Sugar Bowl. But yes, tonight they were slobbering all over him basically trying to help him and Texas recruit. lol

Owned? Maybe Michigan, but Ohio State hasn't lost a regular season game in the B1G since Urban Meyer got there.

Do you know Strong is taking over a program that didn't have a single player drafted this past April? That's how far the program had fallen under Mack Brown. Don't you know how hard that is to do at Texas of all places?

I was saying Michigan State has owned Michigan too, and they should be worried about them just as much as Ohio State. I know Urban Meyer has dominated the conference so far.
 
those guys just didn't live up to the hype as UT was still talented before Strong got there...he was not taking over the 1990 PV Panthers....I'm watching the game once again as I type and their playcalling is suspect, their not responding to Strong and their getting pushed around like dolls

those still are 5-star players out there at the end of the day who don't fit the scheme....

heard a few scouts talk about how bad Texas has gotten over the past few years. Mack Brown was recruiting boosters kids and doing favors for high school coaches far too often. Charlie Strong basically had to cut those pipelines off and it pissed some people off.

Dude, the NFL passed on all their eligible draftees. That spoke volumes. Those kids were lazy and entitled under Mack Brown. Strong walked into some bs. The media knows that. And Strong did get love from the media at Louisville. Only place aint give him love was U of Florida. Lol

Good Job Harbaugh, he answered my question about staffing with that one. A coach is only as good as his staff.

Hey, Florida fans definitely gave his defense love. He just had bad timing with the Florida football job. When Ron Zook got fired, there was no way in the world you give the job to Charlie Strong over Urban Meyer. He left for Louisville the year before Urban Meyer left Florida, then he took the Texas job the year before the Florida job came open. Now of course Florida could have and in my mind should have fired Muschamp last season to get him, but I guess the AD felt Muschamp wasn't given a fair shake last season due to injuries.
