Harbaugh to Michigan a done deal?





I hope his DC gets promoted to HC... No more Greg Roman at least... Thank God.

If Harbaugh's salary is what has been reported, one would have to ask how much Michigan is planning to spend on the rest of their staff. Harbaugh is good, but he isn't that good to command such a high salary with 0 titles under his belt.
 
I'm just tired of this whole melodramatic soap opera with the dude. It ain't like he Nick Saban or somebody. Make your mind up and take the job or get the hell on. Dude seems like an attention-seeker.

They can spend however much they want. Michigan got it. Harbaugh is definitely worth the money. He turned Stanford into a football power just imagine what he could do at Michigan. He also has had San Fran in the mix since he's been there. They were a joke before he got there. Now dude is a drama queen and sickening at times but he can coach.

Yeah. I hate to see him leave but it wasn't going to last in SF. Also, his loyalty to Greg Roman cost him.
 
Even as great a head coach as Harbaugh is, I just don't ever see him winning the national there. Teams from that part of the country haven't done it often since most of the talent migrated south.

Also, I don't get how a coach who led his team to the SB so early in his pro career would want to go back to college.

Stanford a football power, did they win a National Championship that I missed? Harbaugh is what you think he is. A hard a$$ but does not get over the hump.

Dude to get Stanford (with those admission standards) competitive year after year is very impressive. Yes they are a college football power. How many titles does Oregon have? Do you not consider them a power in college football?

He will be able to get a QB there easy. I don't believe that he would have a problem getting players from the South given is track record.

Yeah but to pay him that much right off the bat? He is a great coach, but that is starting a little too high. Imagine his salary if he actually wins something. More power to Michigan though. I guess you have to be that aggressive when you are a traditional power and are flirting with Indiana/Purdue status in the Big Ten. Urban's really going to turn it up now. lol

Also I think some folks are confusing the success David Shaw has had at Stanford with Harbaugh. Harbaugh had 1 good season and that was his last season at Stanford. Granted he possibly laid the foundation for success, but it was David Shaw that was at the helm during the majority of Stanford's success.

Dude it's Stanford he had to establish what Shaw is benefiting from now. Harbaugh was one game away from playing for a National Championship. shaw hasn't been that close since. :lol:
What about his record at San Diego? If this guy would go to a top SEC school he'd win.

And not one would pay him that ridiculous salary to start off with. I know Michigan is desperate for a winning program, so I understand the aggressive move. It is just crazy to see that kind of money thrown around for a coach that hasn't won a title yet.

I agree with the that. I wouldn't pay any college coach that much money.

It's crazy to see that kind of money thrown around at any coach, especially when the suits say there isn't enough to pay the players.
