What I Live By...
Most of us knew this...but there are still some sheep out there lost in La la land...:smh:

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/art...ead-including-knew-teenager-wanted-thief.html

Darren Wilson changed his story following the immediate aftermath of the fatal shooting of unarmed black teen Michael Brown to include events about which he initially denied all knowledge.

Evidence presented to the grand jury and reviewed by MailOnline has revealed a crucial difference between the officer's first account of events given to his squad supervisor on the scene and his second statement to St Louis County detectives investigating the shooting.

In Wilson's now very public account of his encounter with Michael Brown and Dorian Johnson on August 9 he has claimed that he asked Brown and Wilson to move to the sidewalk rather than walk in the street.

When they walked on, Wilson has repeatedly stated, he realized they matched the description of two suspects wanted in connection with the robbery of nearby Ferguson Market. A youth matching Brown's description had stolen a box of Swishers cigarillos.

It was this realization, he stated, that caused him to reverse his vehicle and sparked the car-side confrontation that left Brown dead on the street with six bullets in his body.

But the sworn testimony of Wilson's squad supervisor directly contradicts this account.

Wilson's supervisor was the first officer to speak with the 28-year-old cop following the shooting. The men spoke before St Louis County Police had even been notified of the incident and before the medical examiner or investigating officers had arrived on the scene.

At that time, the supervisor said:'He [Wilson] did not know anything about the stealing call.'

When pressed by the attorney questioning him, the officer reiterated that Wilson, 'did not know anything'.

Asked, 'He told you he didn't know about there being a stealing at Ferguson Market?'

The officer responded, 'Correct.'
Nor did he make any mention of reversing his police car back towards the youths.

In fact the squad supervisor stated that, in several subsequent conversations, Wilson said 'he did not have that call.'

Yet two hours after speaking to his supervisor, 28-year-old Wilson gave a very different account to the St Louis County Police detective assigned to conduct a cursory interview with the cop.

"It is a marked discrepancy from Wilson's admission minutes after the shooting that he had no knowledge of that incident. In the time between that denial and this detailed recollection of the suspect's description and goods stolen, Wilson had driven himself back to Ferguson Police Department Headquarters on the city's Main Street.
He had washed his hands clean of any blood and he had been permitted to bag up his own gun as evidence - acts entirely contrary to St Louis County procedure."

C'mon Son...:shame:

Folks are worried about the cigars. They could careless about him getting killed. The cigars matter.

Dang It!!! Im sick of this story... I haven't posted my feelings intentionally on this matter because people on this board don't respect opinions. There is a thing called Karma.... ever heard of it? Don't you realize that all these protests are just giving these kids more ammunition to sag their pants, steal, jaywalk in the street, and other stupid stuff. Why would the owner of the store call the police? So he can be labeled a snitch? If he was dressed like Carlton Banks this or the Trayvon mess ouldn't have happened. Don't you know you are OK'ing this behavior. Some people one this board are the same ones who moved out of these communities because of the Michael Brown's of the world and wanna holla Kumbaya from your suburbs. I'm man enough to say I got my family out of that environment and don't give 2 cents what happens there cause they brainwashed by the system and choose to live in it cause it's easy.....

Yall quick to condemn Charles Barkley, Pharrell, Hell even Kobe with the Trayvon incident about personal responsibility, but don't see how the Al Sharptons and Ben Crumps of the world are jacking yall over. You really think they care about Blacks? Don't let that Civil Rights stuff fool you. They just like any celebrity, wanting to stay relevant in a new culture.... and yall falling for it....

I see no one is talking about the Black boy in Oregon that hugged the white cop......

Face it.... the stepdaddy showed the ignorance..... how you encourage someone to burn down stuff..... notice the biological dad was for peace.... probably cause he knew how his son was behaving...

Anybody watch the INDEPENDENT stories on youtube showing what really happened, or yall just stuck to your cable/satellite providers

Anybody read the PUBLICLY released statements where numerous people changed their story..... I guess they were paid off too.....

Yall just like certain teams on the sports board.... Just can't admit when you wrong......

Because of all these protests and demonstrations, you are saying that it's OK for black men to sag their pants, look like thugs and hoodlums, and amazingly not be judged???

After a robbery of cigars from a grocery store was reported over the radio, Wilson – identified as car 21 – asked colleagues dealing with it if he could assist around noon. “Twenty-one to 25 and 22 – do you guys need me?” he asked. About two minutes later, he said over his radio: “Put me on Canfield with two. And send me another car.” Canfield Drive is the street on which Brown was shot dead.

Brown did not deserve to die for stealing cigars. Will not argue that. To say that the cigars don't matter....Well, I don't agree with that. The link I posted raises several other good points though...One of them has actually happened to me before. Hopped out of my car on a suspect, tried to radio dispatch and other responding officers, only to find out that when I hopped out, the channel selector was caught in the seatbelt and switched it off the main channel. I was calling folks telling them I was with the suspect by myself, and I could see my partners in the distance zooming around still looking because they never heard me.

So you really believe black folks dressed in suits and ties don't get harassed by the police? You do realize Forrest Whitaker got the cops called on him because they thought he was a thug. Get real now.

Did you see the part where Officer Wilson's supervisor testified before the Grand Jury that Officer Wilson told him he did not know anything about the stealing call?

Darren Wilson told his supervisor he knew nothing about the robbery. Then changed his story two hours later when he spoke with the St. Louis County Police. Somebody is lying. The supervisor or Darren Wilson?

Also...
During his press conference, before announcing the Grand Jury decision..."Prosecutor Bob McCulloch emphasized that testimony varied sharply among eyewitnesses and made it difficult to have a clear account of what unfolded during the 90-second confrontation between Wilson and Brown on Canfield Drive."
http://www.washingtonpost.com/polit...48e7e4-71d7-11e4-893f-86bd390a3340_story.html

But even Darren Wilson's statements varied. So why was it okay for Prosecutor Bob McCulloch to accept Officer Wilson's contradicting statements but not that of the witnesses?!

Again...at minimum, he should have been charged.

We're being Punk'd, right?

This dude forgot MLK dressed in a suit and tie, and it didn't stop him from being harassed by the state and eventually blown away.

I read ALL that, but there is documented radio traffic showing that he asked officers assigned to the stealing if they needed/wanted his assistance, thereby showing knowledge of the existence of the call.

And using your logic, some of the witnesses whose stories morphed into something else through the process were lying.

I also wish this would have gone to trial, at the very least to allow the entire adversarial process to play out publicly.

Not familiar with that story but did it happen in the 60's, 70's, or 80's? Different time..... Doesn't apply

Waste of taxpayers money..... That's why the prosecutor, yeah the same one who convicted over 20 cops for wrongdoing released EVERYTHING..... Including the flip-flop statements by the same one's that said they embellished the story when the parents got there???

Yall really reaching on this..... and Al and Ben getting paid (by the media) off yall ignorance..... Now Obama got to drag his butt down there when he got bigger fish to fry.....

So you feel that if a woman dresses "slutty" then it's ok for her to be raped?

Having had a close family relative involved in that..... Ill tell you what I told her.... You live and you learn, and guess what, she aint wearing daisy dukes and showing her stomach anymore....... Or hanging with the Mike Brown's of the world.... She took it and learned from it, and now she has a masters, married and living good....

It's called PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITY!!!!!!!!!!!! If more people understood that and stopped blaming others for mishaps then the world would be a better place

First of all, wearing a hoodie doesn't make a person a hoodlum. With all due respect, you saying "If he was dressed like Carlton Banks this or the Trayvon mess wouldn't have happened" is a very ignorant statement. You get on here and post that this gives young Black men ammunition to sag, and then post that we (HBCU Sport Forum posters) are being jacked over because we want to see justice for the injustice that continues to fall on our race............but yet it's people with the same mindset as yours and people that make comments like yours that endorse the false negative stereotype the world has for the Black race, and it also contributes to the overwhelming fear and hatred the world has when it comes to us.

Trayvon Martin had on a hoodie; he went out for a quick snack during the halftime of an NBA game he was watching. Sounds like something you just throw on for a quick run. Also, if I'm not mistaken, it was drizzling, which is probably why he had the hood covering his head. The way he and Michael Brown dressed had no justification for their murders, nor would it have guaranteed they'd be alive today. If the way the dressed would have prevented their murders, as you suggest, then how do you explain the dress apparel of James Chaney? Medgar Evers? Other freedom riders/civil rights activists? They dressed in Sunday clothing......but yet they were murdered.

I don't recall any of the Forum posters condoning the looting and violence that happened in Ferguson. Do I understand the frustration behid it? Yes. And while there MAY be posters on the Forums that have moved out of "that environment", plenty may not have. I don't know if that's true or not; there could also be posters that continue to live in "that environment" and haven't allowed their surroundings control them. Whatever the case, either you didn't read or didn't know about the stories a lot of these HBCU Sports Forum brothers, have "moved out of that environment" have shared about their dealings with the police, and they weren't dressed in hoodies, either. And lastly, how do you know it's easy for a person to continue to live in their community? Again, respectfully, that's another ignorant statement, since you don't know what circumstances/factors contribute to where a person lives.

The JazzyMayz guy is doing something known as trolling.

He makes outrageous statements and feels as if he "wins" by others responding to him. The way to handle these types is to never respond to anything he says. He is not trying to have a rational conversation, he's only trying to get a rise by saying at what at this time is the most controversial thing. You lose whenever you quote or respond to people like this on the internet.

Again.... Did you do independent research??? Did you see the Facebook posts of Trayvon asking "How to make a quick lean"? and he was replied that all you need is a Watermelon Arizona iced tea, skittles and cough syurp? Wanna know how I know? My cuz drinks the same thing!!!!

Now everything else I will respectfully say I have no knowledge of what people on this board caused them to move from these same areas.... I will apologise for that... However I will not apologise for my thoughts directly referred at Ferguson.
