Football Attendance 10/25/14

The correct attendance numbers sure would help to justify the need for a 35k to 40k on-campus stadium. But leave it to dumb azzes to screw that up.

Our entire department is ran by outside people. Most people in our office is from Alcorn and other schools. They got rid of all the JSU people.

They just pick a number. I think they have been told to not report a good number by Fuller..that was at least 38k-40

yeah thats the thing if SKEGEE HC wasnt the same weekend the MCC would have had an even higher attendance ...alot people had to chose

You're right. Skegee had several games over the years at home while on the same Saturday as the MCC. I often wondered about that knowing some Skegee fans like going to the Classic.

I have no earthly idea how under counting the attendance of the JSU/SU game in Jackson could possibly be beneficial, but they continue to do it year after year after year....There has to be some political sh!t behind it. Yall think it is to justify the hospital taking the stadium and moving JSU to a smaller on-campus venue. It is like they are saying that if the attendance is always under 30 to 35k then they don't need a 62k stadium....I could be way off with this, but if you think about it it kinda makes sense.

They undercount every game. I honestly think a lot of people still sneak in,.

JSU should hire security or Jackson police to watch the people at the gate. When the Bruhz worked the gate at the New Orleans Jazz Festival, there's a line of NOPD officers standing right behind them to make sure the people at the gate are not letting individuals get in free. Some of those passes for the Jazz Festival are pretty high. The City of New Orleans make a ton of money off the Jazz Fest.

In my younger days, I would sit on jsu side because I always got in free

I thought it was a hook up that my buddy from prentiss had. Now that i look back, it seems to be the norm.

It's call lining my pockets. Somebody is skimming off the top.

Who is in-control of the gates at Memorial??? Is it JSU or some entity that is contracted by the State??? IMO, this is a serious problem, especially when millions of dollars are being stolen from JSU's ticket revenue. If I was JSU, I would hire a security company to monitor those at the gate. Let's just say approximately 50,000 people are let into games for free per season at $30 per ticket. Per my calculation that's like $1.5 million of missing ticket revenue. IMO, a $250,000 annual contract with a security company could possibly save the school $1 million to $2 million in lost ticket revenue, basically lost prevention.
