even in a small stadium I am sure that Valley, Alcorn, etc.. didn't provide that atmosphere.

Name one school that's consistently outdrawn JSU, GSU and su over the past ten years. Only Bama State has come close. The other six are nowhere near being close.

In 2012, we opened the season playing Jackson State in Tiger Stadium (BBVA). We could have played Lone Star College and had the same attendance.
But isn't this thread about FAMU's head coach getting fired?

The attendence dropped because y'all have SU playing in High school stadiums and on Friday nights in Houston. It's y'all fault it dropped.
We don't like playing on Friday night or in high school stadiums. Maybe next season TSU will play us on a SATURDAY in BBVA.
I was at this game... JSU side was packed. Butler Stadium officially holds 8K but there were 8700 folks in the stadium according to the numbers.

..and that mainly had to do with JSU fans not wanting to come... Also, JSU was it's best when the two teams were the best in the conference. JSU fans are not going to support BS on the field. Just like SU fans won't support BS on the field. Recall, SU fans didn't really come to Jackson in 2012. If JSU had been 5-2 or so, 10-15K more people would have shown up!

Remove SU, GSU, JSU and see the drop off in attendance and talk about the SWAC FOOTBALL or ANYTHING..remove them from yall schedules and see how shat gets played out.
"Why we aint playing SU"
"Why GSU aint on the schedule this year"
"Why JSU aint on the schedule this year"
"We aint playing nobody this year"
You take them 3 schools off any one of yall schedule and see what happens.. Lol..yall wanna act like these universities don't drive this conference..smh..

Too be honest...I'm done discussing Earl Holmes this week...this has been one of the most draining weeks to be a Rattler football fan due to how divisive this firing was

Well good for the Rattlers. I went to a Rattler homecoming a few years back and had a blast (dated a Beta Alpha (AKA) at the time). :tup:

How do you feel about the hiring of Kellen Winslow as your AD. From reading the press reports it appears a lot of FAMU alums are not happy with Winslow.
Some Rattlers hate his guts...and some Rattlers feel like what he is doing is absolutely necessary
Personally I have no problem with AD Winslow...but firing Holmes the way it was done on Homecoming was cold blooded. According to the local newspaper, FAMU PD gave Holmes a letter that basically said he wasn't welcomed here anymore.
But again, there were conversation behind closed doors that we don't know about...and I'm sure Holmes and Winslow have had some heated exchanges over past few months.
