Best and Worst Coach in the SWAC

In no particular order,
My top 3 would be: Hopson, Odums, and Fobbs
Hopson has done a great job during his tenure at Alcorn.
Odums has done great this season with the team currently winning despite all of the departmental issues going on the 1st month.
Fobbs has turned the team and he fans completely around. They should be glad I told them to hire him.......

My bottom 3 are: Jackson, Northern, and Coleman
Regardless of how much Comegy didn't leave jsu, he did leave Jackson a good qb and some wr's and a decent rb. But, JSU has averaged around 28 points in SWAC play. This is the worst defense from jsu I've seen since bell 2004.

Northern has greatly underachieved.

UAPB was expected to compete for the title last year and tanked. The qb is the best in the conference. But he has no help.

Dooley would look good on our sidelines in Montgomery as a HC.

He's a good X & O guy for sure and his personality (good with people) yet low key demeanor serves him well. Good coach...will be a good head coach when he gets the chance.

Fobbs is the best

Jackson is the worst right now!

Spady would be top 3 simply by getting a lot of mainly freshmen and sophmores to beat a team picked to compete for the SCG!

The SWAC was dumb for picking us last ....what a joke

its all good though..this year is our rebuilding year and we are just putting the system into place for a title run for the 2015 season...I would be okay with a 2nd place finish this year considering once again we were picked dead last in the SWAC

I think Spady is gonna do well for yall... I look for him to sign Olinemen and TE to run that pistol.

He is good people. I like Coach Dooley a lot.

Hopson Is to Me the best, with his gameplans and halftime adjustments, Fobbs Is really good to ..

As far ask worst idk Jackson Is in his first yr so i cant just say him

JSU fans on the is board don't give Comegy no credit. none what so ever. Geez.

We do give Comegy credit. It was just time for him to go. Either he didn't want to fix the team or the admins didn't want to give him the tools to help. He should have gone to the administration the day after the SCG and asked for a new OC. But Comegy isn't aggressive like that. He does not know offense so he needs a GOOD offensive coordinator.

This season:

First
GSU's Fobbs
(Going from worst to first in one college football season is amazing!)

Fust
JSU's Grady aka Harold J
(The lost to Grambling and Mississippi Valley killed his season and the team spirit. )

Overall Career:

First
MVSU's Rick Comegy
(He has transformed 3 different program and is working on #4.)

Last
JSU's Harold Johnson
(Horrible season, horrible chemistry, horrible introduction speech and horrible 2nd half play calling doesn't equal a positive anywhere.)

Naw Dooley and T. Graves are good people, they are horrible horrible people, only Coach Fobbs can handle them, so it's would be smart to leave them at Grambling

Ain't nobody in the SWAC about to hire Dooley as HC but SU... and as bad as SU will be the next 2-3 years under Worm, he might get his chance.

If Harold Jackson had a DC, we would be 6-2 at worst right now. Problem is, the DC is his "boy" and the LEAST likely for OMJ to fire. We would have beat FAMU by 2 TDs, we would have beat UAPB in regulation. We would have beat GSU and PV and Valley and Southern if we had a DC. Just like if Comegy had an OC last year, we would have been SWAC champs. A HC is only as good as his coordinators. If Fobbs lost his OC and DC, I wonder how "good" his boring azz would be.

You shole is right. Our offense is not great but it moves the ball and puts up enought points to win games if the defense was not so TURRIBLE. We expected our OC to have some growing pains. I wanna stick with him. A lot of others want him gone as well.

I hear ya as far as Grady is concerned, but there is too many "ifs" in your point. I could easily talk about plenty of "ifs" that Grambling had this season that could have blown JSU, PV and Alcorn away. At the end of the day, "ifs" mean nothing.

Its ok. We got the best coach in swac now.

umm no you couldn't. Fobbs was a slipped spiked ball away from losing to Grady (who bears NO resemblance to OMJ.. :smh: ) .

You didn't watch the game if you didn't see how GSU could have blown ya'll away. "Ifs" don't mean anything at the end of the day. GSU beat JSU in Jackson to keep the winning in Jackson tradition going. It will be worst next season.

All I saw was a GSU team that took FIVE turnovers to barely escape with FIVE point win. If JSU had 5 turnover advantage, how bad you think GSU would have lost? Probably by FIVE TDs. Case-closed.

Fobbs turned a team around who lost every game in the SWAC to a team who is currently undefeated with the same players, if that is not proof that he's the best and The G-Men are receiving good coaching i don't know what is. On the flip side, Jackson inherited a team who played in the SCG but has turned that team into sh!t, that easily makes him the worst.
