Charles Barkley's comments about "uneducated Blacks" sparks debate


Who are these people you blacks like Charles Barkley are talking about? I have never met any one that I grew up with in the projects, met in the streets or met working and living in disadvantage areas say you are stupid because you went to college. Neither have any of you low self esteem blacks. You idiots take one dumb black person saying something sarcastically and make it seems as if it is the whole black race. Many of you nikkers are so far removed from the black community or what you consider the hood that you just lie to make yourself feel better. Maybe you are the idiots for following a idiot like Barkley. They do say birds of a feather flock together. You're right he is spot on for idiots.

You are who he is talking about. Your whole comment is an attack on those who feel differently about the issue than you do. You make no point you just call names and in your cyber bullying you have killed a good thread. Since you are so educated yourself did you ever ponder that allowing the different views to express themselves may help someone who is going through or trying to over come something. You don't even see you are being that nikka Barkley is talking about. Trying to cyber bully people into agreeing with your point of view.

Also, if you say you never had any peer pressure on you for always reading books or making really good grades in middle/high school. I say you were not the really smart kid who lived in the projects. I know kids personally who have been jumped and ridiculed trying to get to school past the kids who see no value in school.

Barkley should not be praised. He hasn't said anything different than Cosby, Lemon, Elder and all those preachers who go on rants during sermons about sagging jeans and rap music.

We don't ever hear an ex-white athlete or entertainer lectures white people. Far too often white folks blame the government, illegals and American-born minorities for their setbacks. Never subsets of white culture.

If anything middle-class and poor whites are far more brainwashed than black people will ever be. I mean, why else would a group of people support Zimmerman or Darren Wilson simply on the basis they killed unarmed black boys?

Those folks will vote against their best interest just to retard the ability for minorities to make it. This hurts everybody...like in the country. Our government was shutdown because of it.

What does any of that gibberish have to do with Percy Harvin and others in the Seattle Seahawks lockerroom thinking Russell Wilson is not Black enough? And that fact that many people in the Black community have that mentality? Or the fact that the mentality is harmful to our community as a whole?

Kendrick ... look ... I think you are a fugged up person. I mean, it's sad to see a young man so invested in being a victim. It's like your whole world evolves around absolving yourself from any responsibility because you can find somebody else to blame.

I really believe that.

But, that doesn't mean I'm not a fugged up person too. That doesn't mean that I don't have things in my life that I need to fix. And ... guess what? Do you know who is the best person to fix the issues in my life? Me.

Yes, white people are fugged up. Yes, there is racism, bigotry and all of the things that go with it. But, brother, we have some things that we need to deal with on our own. By ourselves. Without pointing fingers at others or comparing ourselves to others.
 
The problem I see is if we grow up in environments where we are the minority....we adopt their habits, cultures, ways, means overnight as it does not happen as much the other side around....

Wilson dates white women, has all white friends, need I go on? It's like we do so much to remove ourselves from what we are even though we have plenty of opportunities to embrace our culture

Another example is how some blacks down HBCUs even though they never stepped foot on one and those same blacks went to a PWC thanks to some form of federal aid but they act like they are better for no reason

Or some whose parents worked their azz off at a HBCU to buy the big house in a nice area so their kids can grow up in a lighter culture....but those kids never embrace it and act like some blacks are beneath them as all they know is how whites think

Or how we have some football players who could only go to a PWC because of their athletic ability and they get the easy degree and act like they're the best thing since sliced bread......I know of several coaches now with white wives, etc. will not hire a coach from hbcus ...they will make you take a fcs PWC gig first before they consider you.....seen that scenario several times

Its really easy to show you how self esteem plays a role in this for blacks who agree with Charles Barkley statement. The number one problem in America right now is bullying. White kids are killing themselves at alarming rates for being bullied. White kids get picked on all the time for being nerds. You can watch any television show from 1950-2014 and see where the so called smart kid was picked on in school. This is not just a black problem, it is a western American problem. The sad thing about black folks who hate their skin problem is they take every thing that is a Western Civilization problem, and make it a black problem. After reading the comments from blacks you can see why self esteem is the number one issue with half of the population on Earth.

"We decided, look, we can't leave her out there," Judd said. "Who else is she going to torment? Who else is she going to harass? Who is the next person she verbally and mentally abuses and attacks?"

Look, man. If I beat my wife and you beat your wife, I can't say that it's not my problem because we both do it. It's "our" problem. No, I need to stop beating my wife regardless of what you do. I need to stop doing things that hurt my family.

And agreeing with somebody who would say that I need to stop beating my wife doesn't mean I have low self-esteem. :lol: That's ridiculous. I believe the opposite is true. Taking an honest look at myself, recognizing the things I need to change and being willing to DO something about it would say a lot about my character.
