LSU ran his azz off. He was over concessions at LSU and f'ed it up.

LeFleur was at SW Texas State (now Texas State in San Marcos/former Southland Conference member before they moved up to FBS) ... and was forced out amidst NCAA investigating.

SU had enough information to know that LaFleur wasn't qualified to be the school's AD.

We have to make rational and not emotional demands with our administrators. Otherwise, they will make irrational decisions.

The problem is for HBCUs is that all too often they make decisions based more on personal reasons than business reasons ... oftentimes with disastrous results. That's not limited to athletics.

... and SU still pulled the trigger on hiring LeFleur ... and is paying the price for that hire as we speak

... just like J-State had enough data NOT to hire Jackson, along with recent history not being on their side ... and still pulled the trigger on that hire

Politics is the main reason why SU has made irrational decisions. LaFleur's family has a little juice with Louisiana politics and most of his family are Southern graduates. His brother marched in the band with me.

..This is true.... GL's name was submitted late in the process... He was evaluated and rejected by the search committee... The following week , after the BC, GL was selected over the final two candidates submitted by the AD search committee...

Don't mention politics. Like many other black institutions, Alabama State has been mired in politics since its existence.

This is NOT true...and I have no idea what Freeze is smoking tonight for co-signing that. SOME HBCUs are LOSERS... period. JSU is NOT a losing program. We don't win in cycles anymore than UAPB loses in cycles. JSU wins. UAPB loses...and it does NOT go in cycles. JSU made a questionable decision but the GOAL was to find a coach/coaches who could develop our players and WIN titles. There is NO way that Coleman would still have a job at JSU. Coach Jackson seems to believe that Comegy left him nothing to work with on the d-line and on the o-line. Some call it bullschitt but as has already been stated.. J-State will be fine. We will win, kick azz and put every one else back in their place as usual.

This is the bottomline: PEOPLE ARE BELLYACHING ABOUT FIRING COMEGY BUT COMEGY WAS NOT GOING TO WIN THE SWAC THIS YEAR. YOU DON'T GET 9 YEARS TO WIN ONE TITLE IN JACKSON. It would be worth it to tear down everything Comegy built for us to BUILD a champion. OMJ may have to go BUT what we are going thru will eventually get us a championship... Valley can have Comegy's one championship in eight years azz!
