JSU Offense

What happened was dirty play by JSU. #44 hit him below the knees. He never returned to the game. #44 did the same thing to our backup QB. He's a dirty player and I hope someone takes him out before the season is over.
44 is Cocky but dirty? I saw him get your backup behind the line right before the half was that the play. That looked like a clean tackle...

TP I never said we were going to Houston...all I know is we are in a rebuilding year with a bunch of freshman and sophmores starting on the field! matter fact we got 6 true freshman starting on defense...

oh yeah Gram will win Saturday....

Same here in jxn...rebuilding. Gram not winning tho

:smh: .. YOU going to Houston this week!

..and you dayum sho not going in December.

I misread that comment but yeah I like our chances of beating TxSu in Houston...we always beat them but this year might be different because we are so young on the field

Very dirty. He was flagged 15 yards for both plays. He should have been kicked out of the game after the first offense. I put up a post about it Sunday, but Kendrick took it down because I called Harold Jackson old.(I guess calling Jackson old is like black people using the N word, cause TP refers to him as the Old man all the time and none of his post are edited, yet alone deleted) I'll post it again today or tomorrow with video. He hit German below the knees on a play where he handed the ball to the runningback and was 15 yards away from the play. I don't see how anyone can say it was anything but targeting. Like I said before. I never want to see anyone get injured. However, if #44 blow out his mlc, pcl, and acl I wouldn't feel sorry for that bitch ash *****.

Shame on Harold Jackson for not saying something. No place for dirty play. Esp when the game is over.

If he was flagged 15 yards twice he would have been ejected. Didn't happen.

I think you are right. He wasn't flagged for the hit on German, but he was for the hit on Butler.

SWAC refs.

Hits below the knee on the QB are not illegal in NCAA football. Also, targeting is a hit to the head or neck area on a defenseless receiver.

He you go since you didn't know.

The NCAA Playing Rules Oversight Panel, which met via conference call Wednesday, approved a new football rule to better protect passers from low contact at or below the knee.

The rule specifically covers a scenario in which a quarterback is in a passing posture with one or both feet on the ground. In that situation, no defensive player rushing unabated can hit him forcibly at or below the knee. The defensive player also may not initiate a roll or lunge and forcibly hit the quarterback in the knee area or below.

But you said he was handing off, not passing.

As I said earlier. I blame Harold Jackson for this. After the 1st hit Jackson should have taken #44 out of the game and gave him an earful on what’s acceptable and not acceptable. Imaging if our Coach didn’t take the high road and told his defense to go hurt Ivy. Ivy is coming off a broken leg and was sacked 7 times in this game. I can’t tell you how many times he was hit, cause it seem like he was hit every time he dropped back to pass the ball. It would have been real easy for our Defense to break his leg again if they wanted to. However, Reed does not allow for dirty play like Jackson showed he does.

It's an honor and blessing to be an "Old Man". But you also know kendrick ain't wrapped too tight. :D

Mc Cree’s hit, not good, not at all. The behavior of Henderson is totally unacceptable. I place the blame on the Jackson, for not teaching his players the rule of the game. The officials are also at fault, they should have told him to leave the field.

Overall, I don’t think JSU’s team play dirty, but Mc Cree and Henderson, makes the team look bad. Not only the team, but the coaching staff

Jackson, look confused the entire game

"I think we've inherited a great football team," Jackson said. "I just want to go and finish what they've started."

Yes. That makes it even worse. That he didn't have to ball. Everyone in stadium, knew German didn't have the ball. #44 Hit German 15 yards from the play. Stop defending bush league play.

It wasn't a dirty play...was he frustrated? Yes. Did he try to hurt someone? No. Henderson was fighting with a tnsu player that shoved him, McCree just likes hitting qbs, no I'll intent tho.

Why do u say this? I ask because I don't know any coach who has it "together" in the midst of an azz whooping.

McCree had issues going back to his freshman days - this isn't just a Harold Jackson problem. If his play was below the line, I'm confident Jackson will take care of it this week. But don't come with this BS about Jackson not teaching his players the rules of the game. Its not like the entire team was out there fighting.

TnSt fan complaining about dirty players...that's like NE patriot fans complaining about somebody recording they're play calling.

All on the same play?

Mane, we were already losing. They could have felt sorry for us even gave us QUESTIONABLE calls.. But nah.. TSU players hit the ball, we recovered.. TSU ball..

..and this could have been the JSU broadcast booth being confused.. but as I remember it. TNState had the ball in the redzone. We held them and on 3rd down, they got a penalty that moved them back. Well, after the penalty, the refs gave them a first down. I didn't see the game so I don't know what REALLY happened but our broadcast was confused. I KNOW it was 3rd down. I KNOW they got a penalty. I can't imagine how they got a first down.

¡Come on Son! GTFOHWTBS

To date not one player from TSU has been kicked out of the game for targeting or unsportsman like penalties. True we led the OVC in penalties, but that was from off sides, false starts, etc. We are hardly ever flagged for ruffing the QB or late hit, etc.

All on the same play?

Yes. It was after halftime. My lil brother was like we gone get a fumble right here. We kickoff the dude muffs it tries to pick it up fumbles another TSU player tries to fall on it we get it. The Crowd excited. Refs huddle TSU ball. It was like WTF?????
