Re: Ray Rice Full Knockout video

No it didn't. The policy is full of loopholes.

Sure is and it was only in reaction to the outrage of just the clip. The full video has garnered even more outrage.

Remember the NFL did not want to see the video despite being offered it. NFL. Ravens. Ray Rice. NJ police. All dropped the ball

Re: Ray Rice Full Knockout video

If I were the 49ers, I'd tell Ray McDonald to get lost until his case has concluded.

na bro. This is America still. Let the man have his day in court.

NFL team is not a court.

Besides, how would the Niners look if it is revealed that McDonald really did jack up his pregnant girl and they allowed him to play?

Plus, Harbaugh went on record saying if he found out a player hit a woman, he was gone.

If they find out he did jack her up, he should be suspended, etc... I am not for putting people out of work before they have at least had a chance to present their case to a judge or jury.

Not according to your boy Harbaugh (who then wavered on it).

The reaction to this Ray Rice situation might force a lot of teams to play it safe.

They don't wanna appear to be supporting an alleged abuser.

The Ravens are ass out right now.

Re: Ray Rice Full Knockout video

I would break up with her as a favor to both of them

Valid point, but that can be said of most league policies. At least the commish apologized before the full footage was released. But again, that video shows too much aggressive to not warrant jail time or at least criminal record.

Yes, yes, I know we live in this social media age where people want swift retribution to appease the twitter crybabies out there. Harbough is not dumb. He was already down Bowman and Aldon Smith for half the season and any more suspensions would kill the defense. He made a decision to keep his own job safe, something I don't blame him for.

If I go out and get a domestic abuse charge, I still have a job on Monday. I just believe people deserve their day in court.

But Roger Goodell set a standard that's different than other businesses or companies.

With the current media outrage, it may be in the team's best interest to put him on paid leave until the legal side has run its course. But it doesn't look good when you have to bail yourself out of jail for hitting your pregnant girlfriend and unlike ray rice, McDonald's accuser has made no immediate attempt to defend him.

Re: Ray Rice Full Knockout video

I was in the crew that was saying we didn't know what happened on the elevator ..... well, we do now. Sorry Ray, but you cfuked up buddy! I don't believe in a man or woman putting their hands on their spouse unless they are defending themselves.

Dude has to go now though!

Yes, but if the policy can be easily exploited, then the league didn't get it right. Goodell deserves credit for nothing here. He had access to this video when handing out punishment for Rice.

Re: Ray Rice Full Knockout video

i Mean, what can happen to ray rice now? kinda too late now huh?

Re: Ray Rice Full Knockout video

Ummm the wife isn't going to press charges....soooo I say just leave it alone. They had plenty of evidence to suspend him further but chose not too. No point in getting fired up now because the public sees it lol

Well legally the matter is closed, and the league can't go back and retroactively change his suspension. Plus like I said, Goodell already had this tape when he made his decision. The only thing left to see is if/when the Ravens release him.
