JR- I hit him up on Twitter last year after he committed to USM and said, "Some schools are FBS in name only, but we're winning in Jackson.". He replied and said something about how JSU was in his blood...how his dad played ball and his mom was on the Homecoming Court or something. I could've went in on him after that, but I kept it civil...I ain't no Twitter thug. :lol:

That's why I was saying on that other thread that it was important for Alcorn to beat a USM team that's this sorry. To show these kids some FBS schools aren't worth the time of day.

Well word is, they want Hopson. But I didn't think a coaching change will help. This program is in a crappy conference, in a crappy area with crappy alumni support. USM is really looking at an uphill battle. My wife is a USM alumnus, and they sent her some info on donating last month. Usually I throw it right in the trash, but this time I actually opened it up and read it....before I threw it in the trash. I feel bad for them down in the Hub City.
