Southern Jaguars Leave Five Players At Home

We beat valley, not happy about it but it is what it is, and nobody focusing on that failure in Baton Rouge. The NCAA knocking on the front door and the GRAD Act knocking on the back door. Mason and Llorens did good to leave, nobody wants to be apart of a sinking ship!

Say WHAT?! Mason's gone? Where you hear that at? Must be worst down there than was first believed.

I know you all have the Baton Rouge press as your home page but you are still jsu and nothing that happen at The Southern University will change that. If Southern doesn't get these players qualified, this team is easily 5 touchdowns better than jsu this year. That slap stick win is over FAMU is what everyone projected. The only other chance jsu will probably have a shot at winning a game is against AAMU. jsu has way bigger football problems that S.U. at the point. That product you all are putting on the field this year is Garbage.

This thread is about su's APR issues, not about the plight or the quality of other school's football teams. Let's stay on topic please.

Wow! His dream job was actually a nightmare so it seems. Now back to the story at hand.
Ignore Jrock's rants. Grambling has it's APR house in order and it's football team will be much better this year.

Hahaha dude I ain't worried about SU, our new and improved DL and LB corp gonna eat shorts for lunch in the Dome.

Many schools have instances like this annually with players who transferred in or took summer school classes to catch up.

This isn't as much of a compliance issue as it is a taking care of your business in school issue. 5 players out of 99 who were in camp.

Dude you're 2-21 the last two seasons and you're worried about the defending SWAC champions not being able to get 5 players qualified at the last moment? Your team has been upsetting the stomach of your fans worse than sour muscle milk and you need to try finding the right laxative for Grambling football rather than cavorting with known swacpage flamers/trolls. :emlaugh:

Our stomach wasn't turning after Saturday, we have a MUCH improved coaching staff and team, so beat your chest about that once in a decade championship while u can!

Dude right now until proven otherwise your program is a scab on on a bloated filthy unbathed trailer park country woman's behind. The last thing you should be worried about is what is happening at S.U.

Come on GM2009, don't let Jrock get you off track. The article's about 99 players almost missing a game due to five players. What if the bus had a flat or mechanical problems on the way to Lafayette. These su officials put the jeopardy of the entire team, fanbase and host team's players and fanbase in limbo for FIVE players and arrived only 30 minutes before the game? That's almost unheard of.
Whose running things at that school?

Another embarassing moment BEFORE the ULL game. Then look at the score DURING the game and then look at these comments from su folks AFTER the game.
If I was an su fan, I'd be outraged at being embarassed before, during and after. Instead of being in an uproar, these folks are lashing out at the messengers who had nothing to do with the embarassing debacles before, during and after the game.

That article was fact, not smack. You just want this thread moved to the smack board since it's not about JSU.

You know all he does is co-sign it or laugh at them SU folks when they talk about JSU. But what else you expect from somebody who went to valley.

jsu has 1 championship in 17 years and their delusional fans should not be focused on the defending SWAC champions. It is a very strong bet that it will be 1 championship in 18 years after this season. The fact of the matter is jsu fans are big on mouth and low on championships the last 18 years. This Buffalo football program will mess up two wet dreams in the same night and is the ultimate bride's maid. Their fans like an Atlanta Housewife are always sticking their nose in other programs' business.......Again, you are 1n17 (get a fricking life). :emlaugh:

They prolly didn't find out they wasn't eligible until Friday, the compliance staff at SU need their butts whipped.

Somebody don't want to stay on topic for obvious reasons. I'm still trying to figure out why they almost made an embarassing moment even worse by almost missing the game. What were they waiting on, a last minute call from the NCAA?
Who mandated that the team arrive 30 minutes before kickoff? Did Odoms have a pre-game premonition about the outcome, so this was his escape clause? Who knows, but it's not wrong to speculate.

Stop trying to hide the shenanigans at SU with smack

And you need your butt whipped for being a collared minion on a jsu troll leish. Have you no shame? :emlaugh:

Dude, stop trying to lie this into a "no big deal" thing. Your starting LB who was there last year is not eligible.. That is not someone who just transferred in. You new kicker, who just started play 2 weeks ago, made the trip, so why not you 5th year senior LB?

GET THE HELL OUT OF HERE! YOU LIE!

"The board will commit to a strategic agenda that envisions Southern University Baton Rouge becoming a top five HBCU, a leading university of its type in the state, and a top-200 public institution nationally within seven years, and that a measurable plan with clear benchmarks be established to achieve said goals," Mason wrote.

The board on Saturday opted not to approve Mason's vision of Southern's future, prompting the president to declare he would not accept an extension. So while probably a moot point, the board, after an hour of executive session, voted 9-4 not to approve a one-year contract extension for Mason.

What does that have to do with being in ULL with the entire team and allowing the other guys to come later if necessary. There was no need to keep the entire team back for five players.
Maybe this distraction is why su got blasted. Who knows, but at least they can use that distraction as a possible excuse for losing by seven TD's.

That story actually is more of the norm. I remember for a couple years now we've had many players have to sit out waiting to be cleared, most notably 2 years ago when we had many eventual starters out and ended up losing to Concordia. It is just another testament to understaffed compliance departments and the slow Clearinghouse.

Why not focus the attention on su officials and cease with the character assassination of innocent HBCU/TSPN posters?
