That's how it is. If you live in MS and worked in Louisiana you'd have to pay the difference in taxes to MS (if there is one). You'd have to file both state tax returns in order to know if there is a difference in amount owed.

Hypothetically speaking for ease of calculation....

Let's say you live in MS where the tax rate is 5%, and work in LA where the rate is 4%. Earn 100K in Louisiana... they will take out its 4% income tax, and when you file in MS, you will note that you paid a 4% tax in Louisiana. MS will then only charge you the difference (1%).

I had the damnest time explaining this to a guy who lived in Louisiana but worked in Texas. He was angry because Louisiana took out the tax. I'm like dude you live IN Louisiana..

I thought it was always where you earned the money, can be confusing.
 
I guess we have it good in the DC Maryland Virginia, regardless of which place you live or work state tax withholding is done for the state in which you live. Also if unemployed you can claim unemployment from either the place where you work or where you live.

Look at the type of businesses that you have in the hood versus white ones.

Until 2007 I could not get a pizza delivered to my house.
Until 2003 you could not get Subway or any of those sandwich place in the hood.
Here are the businesses that are NOT in the hood in my city-Best Buy, Dillards, Toys R Us, Barnes & Nobles, Red Robin, K-Mart, Chili's, Half Price Books, J C Penny and others. Target is at the border line of the hood as is Office Max/Office Depot.

Yet I got HOLE IN THE WALL drug stores-you know the type that you can't look in but can buy candy, drinks and weed. I got a furniture store the size of a garage and has NO furniture. Sally's Soulfood House with food swimming in grease. And entire blocks with churches.

Yes we are the number one consumer but look at what we buy. How many black boys got Jordans in BULK? If we boycott McDonalds, Nike, Sears & Wal-Mart they would go out of business.

Also with white flight-your active parents and political power LEAVES.

Let a white politician steal from the community-he will get RUN out of office. A black one get reelected in land slides because the same number of folks will vote for him because he's black and makes a cameo appearance at church.

White folks will vote out someone who thinks a new chicken shack is more important than fixing streets or keeping libraries open. White folks will not riot and trash where they live, they will vote some folks OUT.

Look at your black schools-why are they the worst? White folks don't let that happen-they will find ways to make their school the best in something besides SPORTS.

When the people who are active in anything or don't take mess leave and get replaced by the useless-you get crap in return. That is what happened.

Now white are trying to take back the hood because while they moved, that job didn't. So now there is a movement to get white back in the hood and you see tons of remodeling like we have in Dallas and Pookie getting tossed out.

I wonder what would happen if all the job related entities that enable the mass morning influx and 5:00
exodus decided to move their operations near the bedroom communities?

They'd lose out on the infrastructure the large city centers provide, the ease of having clients/partners housed nearby when they visit their offices, and being centrally located to the suburbs their employees live in. Possibly give up some local tax benefits as well.

Severely underfunded, and most of the academically inclined kids are allowed to transfer out to the higher performing schools... which keeps those schools higher performing and keeps the hood schools low performing (leaving the struggling kids there).

Companies are moving back to the inner city. The suburbs aren't convient for them

oh yeah infrastructure, I guess even old infrastructure is better than the high cost of building new infrastructure
Wouldn't it be something if residents of a bedroom community could get a free voucher, but make others pay a toll entering
their little suburbs

So I wonder is this just the natural way populations grow, they move out to a certain extent, then
collaspe on itself and return to the inner city every 50 years or so?

I often wonder If I can make sure a kid is not hungry, I believe I could teach him to be proficent in Biology, Chemisty and science in general
I know I would have to engage them mentally first because of the hell that may be going on @ home, but what are some the other obstacles,
that's preventing our kids from learning?

So I guess it's all on us, and those coming behind us, to not only pray but to get off our collective
azzes and do something with our lives, don't give up, and stop being distracted by cigarellos, big booty's, etc etc
 
I just want to be near LIKE MINDED people. I don't care if they are white, black, asian, or whatever. People who can see the value in working, owning, growing. If that comes in a predominantly white neighborhood, I might have to do it. If that comes in a predominantly black neighborhood, same thing.

We WORRY about race so much instead of trying to advance and own. It is truly about GREEN now: How I can get it, how can I have it work for me and MOST importantly, how can I put it in a position to work for my family for years to come. I told my wife the other day when we were talking about how having a baby changes you .... "I don't go to work so that her or I can have stuff ..... I go because I want him to not have to struggle as much as she or I did so he can focus on making a difference in the world somehow."
