TP too young to know how we played it. I saw the Tn State version. They play it way too slow and it ain't in the pocket. They get hype with it like the do all their songs. But it ain't smoking like our 86 version.

Yeah we played it in the stands and it we would really be jamming. The BOTB version was abbreviated. Our stand version was like playing the 12" version. Lol.

Man they need to blow the dust off this mugg Lol...but I do recall FAMU playing it in A.W. in like 86 maybe 88 or some shat...I was a toddler and all I came remember was that corner that FAMU was in (by that hanging tree) Lol...was rocking Lol...

Was it your year that yall played "Teddy Jam" by Guy that use to groove as well...as a toddler I recall hearing that shat being blown..

The alumni band should crank some of these old tunes at this year's Homecoming....or Nate should dust this one off too...I think 2011 they did an old halftime show where the 90s band did it and crank Jam and please

can we get that "L" drill this year Lol..haven't seen it since 03 or some shat

Teddy's Jam was played by the 88 band. Me and my crab class last rip was Fall 87.

yeah.. I'm young but I still like TNState's version because they give a total package with it. On top of that, I don't like anything SU plays except rap songs. Few bands can touch SU in that area. I have my favorites in the band world and its from 20-25 years of watching em. I don't think many band can hang with how TNState rocks in the stands. That's almost how it used to be clear that no one could blast another band out of the stadium like SU pre-2000s.

Most of these new school cats would not even be able to arrange You and I by Rick James. You got to be funky to play that tune. That's why SU played so much of Rick's isht during the 80s. Roy "Funky J" Johnson was arranging. You got to understand how to play his songs with some feeling and some funk.
