Not a story bro, in the grand scheme of thing being one of the better programs in BCF doesnt really mean TV time hell there are better FCS programs and they dont get national televised games so Im not mad...I get what you are saying but what WE need to have is either an all FCS network or an HBCU network that solely focus on our market. Depending on ESPN or Fox Sport South to give our teams the national coverage we want wont cut it. Hell Im mad at my University for not having all their games streamed but luckily Rob Jay will fix that.
 



Some of you ninja's need to be kicked square in the butt. I can remember some of you bitching about not having exposure like the white folks, now you're in here trying to justify why YOUR lazy/ignorant ass admin. don't have the game on TV.

The Illinois State game has been added to Comcast SportsNet in Chicago.
 
I like the fact that several of our schools have internet broadcasts. I'm sure we will get a chance to see everyone from one source or another. I don't think it's a big deal so don't get down on Kendrick. Besides, during the course of a season, sometimes games are picked up that aren't scheduled.

I think at some point all of us will have to do this not just a handful of schools. Or at least the biggest games. I've been saying for years that the SHC, MCC and SU/JSU should be on TV but with the big boys getting more and more power, the slots are drying up even on ESPNU/ESPN3 so those slots we got we should be thankful for and strike up some regional deals with the FSN/Comcast of the world.
 
Jackson State will live stream both the Southern Heritage Classic and the Southern game.

I wonder if JSU and Southern, in the future, could somehow reach a deal with FOX Sports South.

The video streams I know of is Southern U., Grambling, Alabama State, Jackson State and UAPB (that's half of the conference).

I don't think UAPB has their stream working anymore. PV does have a stream for a fee for their home games.

Yeah, come to think of it, I haven't seen it lately. They were actually the first team in the conference to have one. Well, I'm glad PV has one so that would still keep us at 1/2 of the conference with video stream. BTW, Southern U. video stream is also fee based for most things.
 
The conference should work on getting a deal like this

No.....I don't see anything wrong with having our conference games stream, along with our current pkg. I was thinking in terms of, having those games that aren't broadcast live, through their main networks channels being stream.

If I'm missing something feel free to bring me up to speed.

Clearly you don''t understand what's going on. While they have a number of affiliates that are showing their games, they're only being broadcast on one station at a time, on a rotation basis.

At the end of the day, comapred to a single schools getting the better coverage by having all it's home game broadcast live from the Eastern part of Texas to Western Florida and parts of Arkansas and Oklahoma, ESPN Live National Coverage, NBC Yearly National Coverage, It's Okay for a Conference

We reach waaay more viewers and it doesn't even come close to our conference pkg.

I agree...Also that "Southland TV Network" is internet heavy. No matter how you cut it, they have selective t.v. stations in addition which is not really a true regional package but rather selective markets in their schools foot print. It's a decent set up though nothing that would make it the toast of conferences. It kind of reminds me a little bit of Texas Southern utilizing Bounce TV Houston market when they can. Still it's a decent effort on the SLC part.

OK...I need some data. Someone please show me some numbers indicating viewership of games involving all member SWAC schools.

Also, maybe it's time the the Council of Presidents to get a commissioner with a background in television
