Freshmen to look out for

Who are a few of your school's signees that could see some action or make a difference this season?

Keontre Anderson DE from Canton, Ms. I will have to look at our signees again but most of our frosh will NOT play.

I'm hoping he catches a redshirt so that he can get that knee up to 100%, but I think most of our frosh will crack the 2-deep's this season. I don't see 00J redshirting too many folks.

That Kicker from Miami- we need him to play now.

OLB Shawn Bishop from Callaway, ILB Jonathan Burnett from Terry HS, and DE Rodney Shorter from Long Beach, CA will see some playing time this year. For one, they are good ones, and two, we need them for depth. I expect those three to be an impact on special teams, and give the starters a rest.

Offense is pretty much the same. All of the O-Line recruits will play, unless there are some OL's on campus that aren't on the roster. We appear to be very thin there.

RB Robert Johnson IV from Terry should back up Rakim Sims (if eligible) and Jarious Moore (if his ankle heals up). If neither one of those guys is ready, RJ4 will be our guy.

Those WR's we signed need to be moved to DB or either redshirted.

If we are running a 3-3-5 I'm guessing we are using two ends and a tackle, outside of Fuller who do you expect to be on the line? Tre has had enough time this summer to rehab, plus with Coach E I think he constantly be in rehab/ strength and conditioning. We are a little thin at DL so you do NOT redshirt a 3 star DE.

Not really... he won't get past "Aussie" and Ryan has been fine. Maybe he will do kickoffs?

They will not see pt with Ariane "maniac" McCree, Ted "Terror" terrel, or Javancy as our LB's. I like them a lot but they will be on special teams this year.

Agreed

I'm not counting on Moore, but I hope RJ will be ready...he looks awesome on film.

WR's will see no pt, we have 13 wr's on the roster already.

Yeah but only 2-3 of them are good LOL.

I expect the LBs and RB to see playing time. And maybe the O-linemen.

2-3??? D-Will aka "Mr. Megatron" plays exactly like Pendleton, Tobias- Demands a double team, McKenzie- eats up a zone defense, Fosselman-unstoppable in the slot, Perkins- solid slot receiver, Jairus Moll- Our best route runner. That is who he have that are actually good.

Please don't insult Megatron or Z. Pendleton.

I don't think none of our freshman will see the field much, probably a few but newcomers probably would be a different story.

They all have the potential. /99 is being a bit harsh. All of those guys you named are legit. I like the unit as a whole.

Dan Williams looks the part of Calvin Johnson, but he doesn't have the speed and eventually he lost PT to other WR's. He needs to learn to use his size and strength to get separation. Because he ain't doing it with speed. LOL

He lost pt because we had a qb who only threw to two receivers : Pendleton and Singleton combined for like 1700 yards together while the rest of the wr corp had like 200-500 yards individually. One db can't tackle dan and he has worked on his speed a little bit and is faster than last year. P.S. Pendleton official NFL 40 time is 4.8. Pendleton was not fast at all, but he was CLUTCH. D-will is a clutch possession receiver and if you stack him on the same side with tobias, you will have to pick your poison. Speed kills in football, but so do sticky hands.

Did both graduate? or is Singleton returning but not Pendleton?

Yes, actually his time was a 4.82 I read. Moore definitely locked into him, whereas Ivy got the ball to D Will and others pretty good in the Tulane game. But towards the end of the season, we started seeing more of McKenzie and less of D- Will. But the kid has been putting in some work from what I've seen on IG. Hopefully it pays off.

WOW...

I mean....same here on Lynch street. We lost less than 10 guys off of a team that was 8-0 in league play and were East champs. Frosh will have to play lights out to even sniff special teams here, let alone actually audition for a skill position. I like one of the qb's we recruited but unless they are Casey O in the flesh and get past Ivy, they will be holding a clip-board for the fall 2014 season lol. Any team that is depending on frosh will probably suck lmao
