App TV huh? Way to try to help him try and recover Jaghammer. I wouldn't have expected anything less.

I'm still waiting on those numbers I asked you for.....Since 99 what is jsu's winning % in the SCG? I'd appreciate that info jayrob

I'm still waiting on you to give me su's SWAC football title records from 1970-1993.

So I'm guessing you're not flattered with your SCG history. Is that safe to say? What's so significant about 70-93? Was that the year jsu started a fb program? I can give you our overall title count if you'd like plus our winning record against y'all. How bout that?

Hey everybody!!! Amazon has one of those streaming whatchamajigs too. It's called the Amazon Fire TV. I wonder how the fire works in that itty-bitty box? And once you hook it up, it has a icon that says WATCH/ESPN. But knowing some of dem dere folks from that school in Mississippi, dey would rather have those two pieces of popcorn than that itty-bitty box.

Man, these folks on here STILL trying to convince logical people that ESPN3 (an internet broadcast) is "regular" TV?

Now you know you just added the word "regular". :emlaugh:

On ESPN 3? That's not on TV.

By the way, what's the difference between an internet broadcast and Verizon FIOS, basically fiber optic cable TV?

Also, you do realize most internet signals use the same coaxial cable that cable TV uses. I really which power companies can start providing internet to their customers.

What? You still think it's on TV? Let me call a few folks I know in the ATL and see if they have that channel. Maybe my cousins in Cleveland or Chicago have that channel on with their provider on their TV? Let me call them and see. Maybe that channel is provided in the islands. Let me call one of my friends from Jamaica or my other friend from Haiti and see if they have that channel, cause it's not on my DirecTV channels.

If you take away their cable box, I'm pretty sure they wouldn't have it anymore. :emlaugh:

Some people just don't realize how much control cable companies have over them just to make more money, basically vulture capitalist. Ole BB thinks that the only way you can get live TV is through the cable company and their devices.

Wow, you all are still going at it. :emlaugh: I'm suprised an internet/smart tv picture hasn't been posted. :emlaugh: Here goes:

That's because that is not a "regular" TV according to someone on here. That thing has too many streaming whatchamajigs on it to be a "regular" TV.

That may reach Jackson by 2023 at the earliest.

Dey say dat a person can talk to one of dem dere smart TVs and it would change channels for you. Supposedly, it is called vocal or voice command.

Also, I heard dat dere are some smart TVs that recognize hand motion. Dere has to be an eye somewhere to see all dat.

Some folks in here remind me of this older Black man in his mid to late 70's that lives in Lynchburg, Virginia. I told him that I only pay $3 per month or $180 for 5 years for my home phone service with unlimited phone calls to anywhere in the U.S. and Canada with my MagicJack internet phone that plugs directly into my router. His reply was, "my phone service had to be illegal since it was so cheap". No matter how many times I tell him that you can buy the device from almost any electronic store, such as Wal-Mart, Targets, or Best Buy, he still didn't believe me, but he sees nothing wrong with a person playing the numbers, even before the lottery was legal in Virginia. There's definitely some baby boomers that will always be in left field, even if it's legal or not.

Given the wave of technology, the definition of "live broadcast" has changed. Technically, you can broadcast a live stream like through YouTube and UStream.
The homie Bomani Jones does a weekly show Monday nights via Spreecast, and that's a live streaming broadcast. Others do the excact same thing through other applications.

ESPN3/Watch ESPN is just a means to broadcast live content over the Internet. The only difference is they haven't figured out a way to get ratings metrics from those streaming outlets like they have for traditional terrestrial networks.

Also, I own a Samsung SmartTV and I watch live stuff, along with Netflix and Hulu Plus. Also, you can do the same now with Smart Blu Rays. Through Slingbox and other items/applications, you and I can actually watch live television on our tablet computers and phones. Hell, I do that with UVerse right now. The means in which you're watching live television does not change the fact THAT YOU'RE WATCHING LIVE TELEVISION.

But this thread just convinces me that some of you all will argue the sky is red just to piss other people off and not adding anything of substance to a conversation.
