With Portugul having such a negative goal differential, I don't see how we won't advance. If we lose and Ghana wins, we got Ghana beat head to head in a tiebreaker. If we lose and Portugul wins, we'd have to lose by a good margin to Germany and/or Portugul would need to win by a wide margin.

I say US and Germany should conspire and play to a 0-0 tie and both advance. lmao

All four teams were not evenly matched. Germany made the US look like a run-of-the-mill MLS team and Ghana dominated most of the game in the opener.

The US went 108 minutes without scoring over the last two games. Don't be fooled. And the only reason Portugal didn't advance is because they crap the bed the first game. The US advanced on goal differential. Otherwise, the US would have been home.

And Portugal had the US keeper under siege in the first half of that game. If not for his play, that game would have been over early.
