Well we need Ghana to tie Portugal. A win or tie vs. Germany will do wonders for the USA's profile in soccer.

No, a third center back was inserted to prevent that and it was nothing Howard could have done. He made some big saves to keep them in it. He along with Jermaine Jones was among their two best players. ESPN bragged on Michael Bradley and he kept turning the ball over and over again, but only mentioned the turnovers when it was someone else.

Michael Bradley sorry azz single handily lost that game. That last turnover which led to the game tying goal was freaking disgusting. All that scrub had to do was kick the damn ball down field or out of bounds. Instead he turns the mofo over which leads to the break. Bradley should be benched against Germany. His replacement cannot be that damn bad.

On Mike and Mike this morning they said Portugal was the 4th best team coming into the World Cup.

Exactly, that woulda been a helluva save for Howard to make. Defense just got too lax and sloppy. No reason for only one defender to be back having to stop the perfectly placed centering kick. Once the black dude put his head on that ball, it was a matter of whether he'd put it in the net. And he did.

Beans don't know what he be talking about.

With Portugul having such a negative goal differential, I don't see how we won't advance. If we lose and Ghana wins, we got Ghana beat head to head in a tiebreaker. If we lose and Portugul wins, we'd have to lose by a good margin to Germany and/or Portugul would need to win by a wide margin.

I say US and Germany should conspire and play to a 0-0 tie and both advance. lmao
