Minnesota gets Super Bowl in 2018

Yeah I remembered when you guys came. I had Suge and his crew hang out with me. A couple of old school Nupes were my running buddies in MSP. One was on the committee that set things up locally. I remember you calling me about being in some shady part of town. LOL.

They love it there. Minneapolis was pretty much promised this a long time ago when they started talking New Stadium when Tags was coming to visit the politicians in Minnesota before he retired and Goodell has followed up. As soon as San Diego can get one, they will be back in the mix. I would imagine now that San Fran is moving into a new one in Santa Clara where they practice. They will get a SB soon too. Just a way for the NFL to reward those cities and states for building a new facility. Detroit and Indy got Super Bowls when they got their new stadiums. As long as you are not a cold weather out door stadium NFL city not named NYC. Then you will have an opportunity to host a SB.

I wouldn't rule out a new stadium in New Orleans. There is talk buzzing and it's not going anywhere along the river. Across the street maybe. Just depends on the outcome of what they do with City Hall and Civil Court Building. It's a reason why they moved the State Supreme Court and Court of Appeals to the French Quarter. It's a reason why the State Building on Loyola was torn down and why the Charity Hospital and VA are being moved to that new health mege complex.

You might be right, but I think a stadium near the riverfront would be the best location for more economic development. But building a stadium outside the downtown area would be the craziest idea, which was Benson's original idea to build a stadium near the Lakefront. I'm sure if anything will happen, it won't happen until the next 5 or 10 years, right before the State's lease agreement with the Saints expires. And it definitely would have to be another dome (retractable roof), in order for the city to continue to bid on the NCAA Final Four and keep the Essence Fest.

Exactly what is there to do in the ATL? Walking in downtown Atlanta is no different then walking in downtown Baton Rouge, just bigger. :lol:
 
When I lived in Los Angeles in late 80's to the mid 90's before the Staple Center was built, as big as that city is, L.A.'s downtown area became a ghost town at nights, which is pretty much what Atlanta's downtown is like at night. I don't think much of strip clubs, there's only so much punany a person can watch.

It has improved since the time I left L.A. in 1996. With the Staple Center, Disney's Opera House, more coffee house art galleries and museums, it has improved a lot. If Los Angeles gets awarded a NFL franchise and the stadium is placed next to the Staple Center and one of the world largest Convention Center, I think it would surpass Atlanta's downtown nightlife. Plus, with the different metro lines going in and out of downtown L.A., one can now get to other parts of the city that was once not easily accessible by car.
