Marc Cuban's Comments

Care to elaborate please?

Everyone has biases, Cuban says. Ok. And? Then he tries to serve it up as everyone's biases are equal and have the same impact on people.

This seems like some sort of defense for Donald Sterling.

The whole thing about avoiding black kid in the hoodie is perplexing because why is a kid wearing a hoodie considered threatening to you?

Well he did go on to say a bald head white guy with tattoos. We've become a sound bite society where we take on snippet of something and focus on that vs taking in the whole message. Was he defending Sterling? I don't know but I wasn't offended by what he said. We need to get out of the Fox News snippet era and start listening to the full message. They made Jeremiah Wright and President Obama sound like NWA/Taliban folks with snippets.

Yep. The black guy with a hoody just dragged the Trayvon situation into this. He knew he had to mention a white guy because there would be backlash but it seems like he got it anyway.

It was just BAD timing with the Donald Sterling situation and he goes and puts himself right off into the limelight.

I understood what he was saying. Many people would handle the situation(s) the same way whether you like it or not relating to the tatoo and hoody examples. However the second part of what he stated about people thoughts came across to me as a rationale for not voting against Sterling. I get the distinct impression (for the second time) that he will be one of the owners that will vote in Sterling's favor. I wouldn't get too distracted about the hoodie/tatoo examples. What concerns me more is his comments that followed those examples.........

Very good point, but our society is built on these days on sound bites.

He's trying to justify how he's going to vote.

That was my read............

Folks are overreacting.

Heard the comments on Rickey Smiley this morning. I agree. Jeff Johnson said it best, folks are too damn sensitive and we are all living in glass houses. Instead of having rocks we need windex.

So basically he'd run from the Miami Heat? LOL

His comments were stupid.

But Cuban pretty much said how he would vote when the whole Sterling situation came out. He said something along the lines of...that basically while he felt Sterling's comments were racist and wrong, it's a slippery slope to start voting owners out because of something they said in their home. I disagree with that comment as well.

Right... is nothing he does at home worthy of being voted out?

I wonder how many offense things you have said in your home that if your employer heard would get you fired...I'm with Mark the NBA should not be able to force Sterling to sale is team...quit running day to day operations/managing ect. yes!
