Southern coach Roger Cador prefers forfeit to makeup for Texas Southern Game

Here they go again.......

th

You beat me to it. These guys focus on everybody else and that sujagtilidie and jag-br dude are now nowhere to be found.
I recall one of them saying su will be in the hunt for the baseball title in the end. Little did he know they'd be in the running for the first to quit.

From the Advocate article linked above... Coach Cador probably should figure out when final exams take place. A few years ago, I recall arriving for a game and finding out just an hour before first pitch that Southern had notified the host that they were not going to be able to make it due to finals. Does Southern not publish its final exam schedule? Or does Cador really not know how to manage the day-to-day of his program?

BTW... most schools only allow programs to play conference games/conference commitments during finals. Guess Southern doesn't get it...

In fact, the Jaguars barely had enough players to field a team for their game against McNeese State at noon Wednesday in Lake Charles.

The Jaguars are playing McNeese State with just 10 position players and five pitchers in uniform. Freshman infielder Sergio Torres is the only backup position player and would be the sixth pitcher if needed.

Cador said several players didn’t make the trip because they were taking final exams, which began Wednesday.

This is simply tunnel vision. If this was another school, you guys would be all over it, but since it's your own school, you'll try and shrug off the embarassment.
This is beyond embarassment. This is almost worse than su not having enough money to take it's women's team to the NIT.:smh:

I'm sure news like this makes your day. :emlaugh:

Finals for graduating SRs only started Monday. Officially for everyone else they don't start until tomorrow (May 2). Some professors probably decided not to give 2 finals and made the underclassmen take their exams with the graduating SRs.

The season doesn't go the way he want's it so what does he do? Open a big fat can of quit. Way to send your seniors out Cador.

I thought of the same thing. He should've known about finals and didn't schedule any games.

The excuse he gave about international players is BS.

SU was 2-2 against TSU this season. He helped you by giving you those 2 games.

Tell that to the seniors on SU.

Bunch of quitters in Louisiana....Cador got more excuses than Lil Boosie in front of a judge before sentencing!

You ain't even got the right to utter Cador's name being a TxSU alum. LOL. SU baseball history much > than TxSU baseball history. We could have several losing seasons and still be > than. LOL.

Second thing. If La has a bunch of quitters, why did you allow your kid to go to LSU and socialize with LA folks. LOL.

CADOR = COWARD

Scared of what? What did he have to lose? Nothing. LOL. You got the wins. I bet your Coach is happy to get those wins without having to put players out there and chance getting hurt or even losing the games. Now they get to rest and be ready for the tourney. Cador is actually doing you a favor. LOL.

See my comment above. Some professors give early finals. Official finals schedule begins tomorrow.

Only have 1 Senior and I'm guessing he didn't care.

Actually we had 3 seniors. One is injured, one is a part time reliever, and the other,Rowry, is a everyday player. These folks are funny, especially C-lev

I remember in a SWAC tournament game (TSUalum05 help me out here) in 2004.

Southern is losing the game so he goes out to argue a call with Blue; doesn't get the call he wanted so he goes and sits on the bus mad. BRey tells everyone he was dehydrated.

COWARD!

He was thrown out of the game. SU blew a 10 run lead.

hmmmm

Southern has about half of all the SWAC Baseball titles and lowly txsu has 1 in about 50 years. Yeah, we're really "coward" of txsu. :emlaugh:

That's some BS - as someone who only had 4 years to play, every game meant something. If this player didn't care, he didn't deserve to suit up at the historically best HBCU for baseball.

Sure did. I bet TxSU baseball coach is fine with it. 2 wins is 2 wins.

That dude wants to play the maximum every year. He's the total opposite of Cador, who seems to want to play the least as possible.

I cant help you there brother...All I remember is coming back and winning that game.

Half, that's awesome! I GUARANTEE SU will not win half of the titles in the next 50 years. I'm happy we started funding baseball, we have the same amount of titles in the last 10 years as SU, and we didn't start funding more than 5 scholarships until 2005.

txsu calling out S.U. in baseball is like Lamar in Beaumont calling out Texas Longhorns. :emlaugh:

If the non-play of the two games affect the divison at all then SU should be fined. The fine should be the $5k to $6k Cador is talking about. With this years performance maybe he spent the last couple of years budget on something else other than recruiting. Cador is more than confident to me he is arrogant.

One problem with that analogy. .. Texas ain't broke. They have the money to play the make up games.

That's like saying one problem with the analogy is Lamar is closer in proximity to the New York Yankees than Austin so they must be better. Have you loss your mind? :emlaugh:
