Severe? What is severe? What criteria will they use to determine "severe"? He is more than likely not involved in the day to day operation of the organization so what can they do to him? Ban him from the arena? GASP!

Herb, that's all they can do. Stephen A Smith said the other day that the NBA has weak discipline bylaws for the owners. Unlike Baseball who could kick you out. The NBA does not have that kind of deal. That's why Stephen A was like JOE PUBLIC will have to make their voices heard and force Sterling to want to sell. He will be probably suspended indefinitely meaning they will keep him from the team and he probably can't have any interaction with it until the commish decides to let him back. In the mean time, the media and public opinion will probably force his hand to say fugg it, I will sell the mofo. Or the NBA could say they void the contracts with the players and allow them to be free agents. Don't know if that would hold up in court though.

Knowing the history of Los Angeles, it wouldn't surprise me if LAPD go into riot control mode after the NBA releases their verdict on Donald Sterling's future in the NBA.

I see you haven't spent that much time in Los Angeles. In Los Angeles, not only it is just a short drive from hot and cold weather, Metropolitan Los Angeles probably has one of the country's most liberal communities (West Hollywood) and one of the county's most conservative communities (Orange County/Anaheim) in very close proximity from one another. Unlike most places that have a homogeneous population, Los Angeles probably has the biggest population dichotomy then any place in America.

I agree, but in Los Angeles anything can happen at the spur of the moment. I'm sure LAPD will be prepared, which was my initial statement. :emlaugh:
