Im going off the excuses y'all making for su being weak this year in baseball. LOL at throwing games...
Good morning GF. I wasn't literal when I said the pitchers are throwing games.

The middle relievers (and some starters) are just that terrible you would think "are they doing this on purpose?!?!?!" LOL. Too many times this season SU had the lead after 5 or 6 innings only to see the bullpen waste it. Take last weekend's loss at PB. To lead 15-8 only to give it away late!!! It's frustrating!

This team(especially the pitching) is not that good....by SU standards.

Cador may need to pull back and do a full evaluation on the program and the team....and that includes himself. But to say that this is the 1st time SU hasn't finished in either 1st or 2nd in over 25 years shouldn't demand leading Cador out to pasture.

Case closed.

Y'all a trip  . Like SU would take advice from someone from tSU, Bama st, or ASu, or any other school in the Swac about baseball  . Get championship game up or get close to our level.

Not sure why you trying tocall out schools but if you can't agree that the coaching in the SWAC has gotten better at just about all schools well that's just on you.

Bottom line is su is last place in the west this year. #Fact
Yep. Last year, SU was in last place (around the start of April) and came back and took 1st. This year, it looks like SU is gonna hold onto that "cellar dwellar" spot!!!

Sidenote: Congrats Bama State for clinching the East!!! It's been a long time since a team has clinched so soon.

It's been how many years since Cador won it all? Seems like his teams are steadily declining as the years go by. Seems like Cador's best years are behind him.

HOW BOUT DEM GOLDEN LIONS BEING IN FIRST PLACE!!!!!! Most years we would be in 6th place in the west but Coach James has his system in place and we've been contenders for the past 3 years! Don't know if we will win it but we ain't no push-over this year!

GO LIONS!!!!!!

HELL NAW. Even if we were in 3rd or 4th place, we still don't don't approval due to that APR thing.

forgot about that. then I give SU a pass on this season. Cador probably doing somethings he normally wouldn't due. he can get guys experience, rest guys and try some crazy line ups/alignments. SU will be competitive next season provided SU gets their athletic admin together.

You can't finish sixth place in the West if there are only five teams over there. i think you meant 5th place. Any how, we'll see what the end results are. PB may end up playing either Alcorn or JSU in the first round of the tournament.

That didn't stop Duer or the Presidents from changing rules in the middle of the season when it came to basketball. I guess since su's in last place, it's a moot point for baseball.

Southern is in last place in the west. By quite a few games. Please explain how u think a team that has a better lineup is in last place

SU has lost game after game because of the bullpen giving up late leads, had nothing to do with the batters. Now last weekend SU bats were MIA vs tSU but every other series SU scored enough runs to win. DJ Wallace from SU was leading the Swac in HR and SU was close to the top in several offensive categories last time I look at the stats. Hell we lost to PB despite out hitting them 21-9 in one game and having a 14-3 lead :smh: . SU's bullpen blew it. That has been the story of damn near all of SU's Swac games.

Is su gives up those many runs, seems to me that other teams can hit too. I know when su came to Jackson, you guys would've been shutout if the left fielder wouldn't have dropped a routine fly ball with two outs in the 9th inning. I didn't see any prolific hitters then.

That was the 4th game of the season  . Look at the Swac baseball stats. SU relievers have walked a lot of folks.

That was also at the beginning of the season too.

If you're gonna comment on baseball then you should get a clue first. The relievers are the problem. Stevie Wonder can see that.

If you don't have the pitching and you know you don't have the pitching, you have no choice but to out hit and out field the opponents. Up to this point, su has done only one of two but still can't seem to score more runs eventhough they supposedly have the best hitting team in the West. Just goes to show you that pitching and defense are more important than getting the most hits while giving up the most runs.

Stick to basket weaving.
