The job is Dj's to lose. DJ will be given a fair chance but DJ won't be forced in the starting line up if he doesn't play well. What ya'll fail to realize is that Grambling DOESN'T have the past two seasons that we've had if the QB position was filled fairly. So we will be better. How better remains to be seen!

He was 3rd in state in the 100..... and his twin brother was 2nd in state..... His twin brother also signed with AAMU.... he is the receiver #13.... He had 1789 yards receiving and 21 touchdowns last season.... broke state record for receiving yards.

He played for my high school.... We were 12-1 and lost in the 3rd round of the playoffs to the eventual state champion. There aren't too many inner city Black schools in 4a..... most are 6a or 5a.

yeah we signed him.... Spady stated in the HSV Times that Danny Johnson was the crown jewel of the class.... Honestly I didn't think we had to a chance to get him or his brother.... on their fb page they had pictures from recruiting trips to UT, Vandy, Mizzou and Mississippi State..... they had offers from Jackson State and Grambling.... major schools wanted 1 but not the other or wanted one to walk on... but they stuck together and liked James Spady. They have a lil brother who will be in 11th grade this year that plays wideout and is a beast also.
