Yeah but Roman can constantly produce competitive teams at SU. I think he'll wait until a bigger opportunity comes along before going to SE.

Boots on the ground are telling me that not only is IPFW's Tony Jasick on campus right now, he may be starting to talk contract. I've got some good people on this one. Sounds like a deal could be imminent. Stay tuned...

We've been talking about this one for the past two days, but has now been confirmed. IPFW head coach Tony Jasick is the new head coach at Jacksonville. An email went out to JU staffers not too long ago confirming the hiring. It also sounds like the press conference will take place Thursday at 12:15. More on this as we hear it.

HAMMOND — Fresh off a junior college national championship, Jay Ladner has been named the men’s basketball coach at Southeastern Louisiana, Athletic Director Jay Artigues announced Thursday.

Ladner’s hiring is pending approval of the University of Louisiana System Board of Directors. Ladner is the 12th head coach in program history and replaces Jim Yarbrough, whose contract was terminated following the 2013-14 season after nine years as head coach.

Ladner spent the past two seasons as head coach at Jones County Junior College in Ellisville, Miss. The Bobcats were 17-8 in his first season, finishing second in the MACJC’s South Division, and this past season Jones County became the first Mississippi junior college to win a national championship.
