Chick-Fil-A becomes top selling chicken fast food restaurant!

Man i was researching veganism recently. Can't do it. I can cut back my meat intake but to go completely away from that no. We have teath to tear meat.....Not plants. And even the Organic stuff is not all Organic...But Good deal Anonymous no knock on your lifestyle. I juice too as well as nutribullet my fruits and veggies...

But many experts say there's not enough evidence to prove any real advantage to eating organic foods.

"There's really very limited information in people on actual health outcomes with consumption of these products," says David Klurfeld, PhD, chairman of the department of Nutrition and Food Science at Wayne State University in Detroit. "We don't know enough to say that one is better than the other."

Because organic production steers clear of synthetic insecticides and herbicides, organic crops usually contend with more pests and weeds than conventional crops. This means the organic plants may produce more natural toxins.

These natural pesticides could be just as harmful to people -- or even more so -- than the synthetic pesticides used in conventional agriculture. One familiar example is solanine, a substance produced by potatoes as they turn green, which can make you ill if you ingest too much of it.

Veganism is not for me. I tend to shy away from red meats. I will grill a steak once or twice a month though.

Been a vegetarian eating organic foods for 5 yrs now... But I have always been one that was careful what I ate... Have not eaten pork since 1990... Cut out red meat close to 7 yrs ago now... I also drink a lot of my foods... Yes I am a juicer...

Still doesn't mean a thing. As a matter of fact the lifespan of those that eat meat and those that don't is the exact same. I eat healthy but all that extra stuff like eating organic everything is nothing but a selling point for stores... just like this whole "gluten free" gimmick everyone is using now. As far as the juicing part, aint nobody got time for that.

I buy certain organic foods all the time, for example apples and milk. Some foods there is not difference in buying organic vs conventional. The next time I find an article on things you should and should not buy organic - I will post it.

Their nuggets are pretty tasty!!!!

I don't buy anyone's nuggets any more. The poultry industry and the US government now allow nuggets to be processed in China and they don't have to label the nuggets as coming from China, actually they are labeled made in the USA. Tyson just had problems with their nuggets, I bet they came from China, but the industry / government conclusion have stopped your ability to know that information.

I understand trade and all, but the one thing the USA don't need to import or have processed in other countries is chicken. All the chicken Mississippi ship out to the west coast for oversweas shipping , no reason chicken nuggets need to be imported from overseas.

Or fresh Catfish

I'm late to the party on Chick-Fil-A. Didn't really give them a chance when I lived in Louisiana because of all the other food options. I got hip to the game a few years ago after I moved to North Carolina when a coworker brought me some of those Chick-Fil-A nuggets to work. Since then I've gotten hooked on that spicy chicken sandwich there. Their service is also excellent, fast, and they've never messed up my order. There's a Bojangles down the street, and a Chick-Fil-A about a 1/2 mile past that, and I prefer the Chick-Fil-A sandwiches. I'll go to Bojangles if I want some regular chicken because the nearest Popeyes to me is about 25 miles away, and it's not THAT serious, LOL!!

Every Chick-filet in the Jackson Metro is the cleanest fast food restaurants in the area. I have not even seen trash in their lots. No dirt on the workers unis and the service is fast. Give me my #1 combo and I'm good.

The only other fast food joint around here that I can say is right on par with Chick-filet for service and extra clean properties is Backyard Burger. Those are some good Angus Burgers. High but good.

I don't believe in cutting out anything. If I like it, I eat it. There is good and bad to everything in my opinion but I DO believe in moderation. I don't believe in overeating and I do believe in healthy eating. I don't fry food at home but I will tear up some fried food if Im at an event. I don't eat a lot of meat simply because as I get older, I prefer "sides". For holiday meals, I rarely have meat on my plate because I go for the sides first. Now my wife on the other hand, could never do without meat on her plate.

As for juicing, I am interested in that. Right now, I have an on-the-go blender that lets me blend some fruit for breakfast smoothies but I really want to juice. I have seen a lot of commercials about juicing and they mainly talk about weight loss but I don't need to lose one single pound. However, I am very interested in the supposed health benefits.

How do you feel about the Fusion juicer? what do you think is a good juicer? (you are the only juicer I even remotely know.. LOL)

i have been on Chick-fll-since since the day I enrolled in the greatest technological university in the universe. We had a Chick-fil-a in our food court and that was the first time I had the chicken biscuit. It was later when I tried other menu options.

The sad part about this is the way they get around saying made in China label, they send the raw product there for processing and the Chinese sends it back with the USA label.

Yep, I too have never experienced Bad service at any Chick-Fil-A restaurants. It is always prompt, correct, polite service with a smile... and they are ALWAYS Packed...

Fusion Juicer is crap... You need to spend about 300 on an Omega Juicer or one of the Breville masticating Juicers. If you want to save you could just go with a brevill centrifuge juicer for 99 bucks. I like the Nutri Bullet because you get the juice and the fiber all in one drink. Mix in your greens, fruit and boost. Almonds, wheet grass, flax and it comes out as a smooth drinkable smoothie... I buy my juice from whole foods and saves me on buying a juicer...LOL They cold press fresh juice and sale it and you can get you one green juice made at their location 7 dollars a pop. I can make several for that price. Also you can blend your fruit and pour the mixture through a fine strainer...I've done that in a pintch...

Really? That infomercial almost made me pull out my credit card!

This part of your post confused me tho.

I own a cetifugal juicer and have done extensive research on juicers. Youtube, online reviews and friends who own the Omega and Breville juicers. They are hands down the best rated juicers. I save time and money by just purchasing juice from Whole Foods. I also pickup up a green drink when I don't have time to Juice. I mentioned that because if you want to start juicing you may first want to try different juice blends at a juice bar. You can go really wrong at home without a good juice recipe.. Also a lot of folks use way to many fruit. Fruit should be used to sweeten your juice but it should not be the main component. I see pineablle, strawberry, mango juice with no greens all the time.. Just try some juice first before you shell out 300+ dollars for a juicer. There is also a cold press juicer that cost Thousands(Norwalk) and it's made in Arkansas. It's the top of the line Juicer for serious juicers.... Man I've been looking hard for a cheap masticating Juicer and Almost bought the fusion juicer too until I read the reviews and watch real people demo it on youtube....Junk....

Yeah that one was a little diluted.. I own a cheap Jack Lelane Juicer and it takes too long to clean up. I buy Juice from Whole foods and Usually try to pop over and try different blends from Wholefoods juice bar. usually 7 dollars a pop close to $9 with Wheatgras shots. For those prices you can make several at home. apples, spinach, kale, cumcumbers, celery, lemons, strawberris ect are relatively cheap in season. I hope that helped. I'm looking for a cheaper yet good masticating juicer... For now I just nutribullet and drink it all pulp and all...
