Oh, like didn't fumble and gave you all a TD. GTFOH and running into the kicker, half of the time we didn't score points on those drivers. Probably 3 or 6. If you all don't do it, and we don't fumble. We still win or how about the fumble inside the 5 yard line after our Coleman tried to leap in the endzone at the 5 after he got a 1st down on 3rd and forever. That game was going to be a blow out
should have been a blow out. Dray missed 3-4 wide open WR's.

I'm not sleeping on Quinn. Dude can play but he won't win you many games. He is one person. Also, look at how your offense had the ball most of the first half in Houston because JSU kept giving you the ball back and you still barely had a lead at halftime. THAT should tell you that your offense was not that good. If JSU had ran into the kicker twice and fumbled 2-3 times like we did in Houston, ya'll would have beat us by two TDs in Baton Rouge.

This is the problem ya'll are having. You all don't see how bad SU was last year. So even if your 2014 team is better, that is not saying much. I don't know any other way to say it. Ya'll better just hope that teams don't get better.

SU has a program. Worm has built a monster. Willie Quinn will be a sophomore this season :)

Wow. After growing up in SU territory and having almost 50 SU alums as friends/associates, it never fails with SU folks! Ya'll win something in this era and go too far. A monster is what Pete had in 1993,1995, 1997 and 1999. A monster would have taken care of an average FCS team that finished 6-6.

SU was good last season by SWAC standards, but a monster? No sir.

I didnt say SU had a monster last season. I am saying we will have one this season. Re-read what I typed lol. Reading comprehension.

Scary if dude can come into his on against ULL...only a FR...it will be tough but if he does...oh my...

Who is the LB TP mentioned??

Lol! Good luck with that. The Cajun's bring back too many starters from a program that has been to 3 straight bowl games. They are expected to be a major bowl contender next season. The SWAC champions are in for a long 4 quarters.

We agree with that too. We have been complaining about our DC since 2006. That dude lost a lot of games for us. But it was moreso the offense that hurt us last year more than anything else.

Regarding the SWAC title game, ok, let's say your defense made the adjustments. We racked up most of our yards in the second half. That said, yall are not that good. Secondly, you guys complained about the DC in 2006 but, I distinctly remember all this hoopla about the darkside defense this/darkside defense that, and JSU having the top defense in the conference after 2006. And now,you want to say yall have complained about him since '06? Again, GTFOH!

:retard: :xeye:

You saw that video Quinn put up yesterday. :)

Same thing could have been said against the Houston game, but truth be told and anyone who knows football, in the 1st quarter/2nd quarter Houston fans were a bit nervous, if our RB doesn't fumble inside the 10, who knows how the outcome would have been...but I just want to see how our defense holds up against Broadway and company, I want to see dude in person anyway, I think if we come out like we played in the Houston game last year we should be ok..

Last year's D wasn't as good as past years', but they were good enough. Play calling killed us on both sides of the ball all season. Hence, the coaching change.

How so folk?
Yall had the same game plan yall did in Mumford..(started off trying to pass, aborted to the run, but this time SU was ready for it, then went back to the passing game) so how play-calling was an issue and it was pretty much the same format in the 1st game...smh..

Houston is better than ULL, but ULL returns 19 starters I think. I can say our defense will be a lot better than last season.I think Worm has done a great job on addressing our weaknesses. Once Shorts gets game experience look out. He has all the tools.

I understood. But you have to be factoring in last seasons performance to call your "program" a monster for the upcoming season when you have already lost your starting QB and best WR! That's something serious dude. In fact, it's pretty encouraging for the rest of the SWAC.

News flash, Doss wasn't SU's best WR. Doss didn't have the best speed and he use to get caught from behind all the time. You let these WR we have now get past you. It's good night. When Doss was out vs Alabama St, we saw just how much we missed him. His replacement had 211 yards and 3 TD's.

What makes you think that Houston is better than ULL? Besides Rice and Rutgers, Houston didn't look good against winning teams last season. ULL would have won 11 games in a row if their starting QB wouldn't have gotten hurt in the ULM game. ULL has been to 3 consecutive bowl games and almost took down Florida in "The Swamp" last season. I believe they have the better program at this point.

Because SU is just that sorry. The gameplan and playcalling in the game in BR was horrific, too, but y'all are garbage, bruh. LOL. Our record was inflated due to how sorry the SWAC is. I'm not sure exactly how we won as many games with the worst Turnover ratio in the conference.....wait I do know....The SWAC is terrible. I think Alcorn is the only school that didn't make a coaching change this year that shouldn't be concerned with the direction of their program.

Truth be told, Comegy should've been fired years ago. A decent coach, with the talent we had in 2010-2013 would've beat the breaks off of all y'all. Thank goodness the administration recognized it and got rid of him. He's Valley's problem now.

There plenty of WR's in the NFL that get caught from behind, but they make plays and catch the ball. Doss was a 90's throwback for SU. He had solid hands and power. The kid was ya'll best WR.

Oh ok..

your feelings are in your post, (let's leave them out)

I only asked how play-calling was a difference maker and you spilling feelings on how this and that and the sun was aligned...

Ok folk..

Good luck to you guys over there

All of this is irrelevant...the "issue" and cause of our loss in h town is over there at valley. It is 2014 people. New year, new coach.

He was to YOU, but others who know about the team could see dude was at best a 3rd slot WR, put it like this...his class status kept him in the starting rotation cuz granted if he came in the same class as Quinn, Baker, Menrad and the rest, dude wouldn't be so call the #1 WR...

Doss was a senior, and him and Dray had chemistry, but Doss wasn't SU's best WR. And Doss didn't have power  , what were you watching.

Well, I know football. In fact, I picked SU and Jackson to go to the SWAC title game after watching both teams get blown out by Houston and Tulane with my own eyes. Both teams were impressive at many times in the game. Anyone who knows football knows that the score doesn't always tell the story of a game.

Just know that you are talking to a person who knows SU's history very well and usually gives the Jags a punchers chance against non-BCS programs. Unlike many SWAC programs, SU is known letting that "SU spirit" take over, and having a "F_ck it" mentality when playing against bigger schools that helps them hang in or even win. Trust me, I have seen it in plenty of SU sports. I watched the NCAA Tourney game against Georgia Tech, I went to the SU vs LSU baseball game the year LSU was picked to win the CWS and got stunned, I went to the dome to watch SU put heat on Tulane"s last bowl winning football team. So believe me, I know how ya'll get down when ya'll have weapons to fight with and have always respected it.

However, anyone who knows football knows that the Jags are getting ready to walk into a crayfish boiling pot with extra cayenne pepper in Lafayette. ULL is not playing any games with SU! They are going to try to light up that scoreboard to start their season out with a bang. This is suppose to be "the year" for ULL. This team will be better than Houston. Mark it down.

Lol. My bad. I might have went a little too far with the power thing. I just like the way he scrapped for an extra yard or two after making a grab.

Should be a good game then...I'm all for the high expectations that ULL is coming into the season with..Makes me look forward even more so now to see what they have
