2014 Jackson State Home Football Ticket Prices

(before I'm accused of hating by the usual folks, my post applies to ASU too)
I don't understand the pricing "strategy". Not so much for us diehards, because we will pay it, but if I'm a "casual" fan or even just looking for something to do on a Saturday, I would be less inclined to choose to go to one of these games if I got to pay up to $50 per person, then pay to park, etc. It's almost like we're pricing out a potential bigger audience.

That's always been my concern. A family of 4 that wants to attend homecoming 140 in advance, 160 on gameday. That's way too much. I know we increased the football budget for Jackson but this is out of line.

Game day tickets in Baton arouge were $50 last year which is why we purchased our's via Ticket Master that Friday before we drove up from New Orleans.

Once we got on campus, no one on SU's campus knew where to pick them up.

Well I guess Us SU folks are pretty much use to the High Prices..... I never cared for it but I guess it has leveled out over the years... General admissions would be Great in Mumford....
I would make seats selective at:
Box seats
Between 40-40 lines on both sides
and Everthing else General Admissions........

Also, the SU/JSU game last year in Mumford was crappy when it came to getting tickets.... It Sucked.. It lie about that one..

I forgot we have 7 games...7*25 yea $150 is a good price. I remember when season tickets were $75. Or maybe I made the last part up lol

This is beyond stupid prices!!!!! For a SWAC game lol.... Only in black colleges smh!!!! Glad they won't get my money!! Smh

What??? You will not be at the vet to see an epic show? Wow lol...welp we will only have 3 valley fans at the game to witness #20.

Always at the Mini Dome where the ticket office is. Just for future reference. You also buy them on game day there as well. Not at the ticket booths outside the stadium. Those are Will Call tickets left for the family etc for each team players. Similar to how Reliant does there operation with college games.

Scalpers gonna make a killing! :smh:

..and the parking lot is gonna be full.

Outside of Homecoming and SU, the ticket prices for GA is the same as last year.
$25 Monday thru Friday and $30 on Saturday.

It used to be $20 M-F, and $25 on Saturday for individual GA tickets, Season GA $50.
Now the GA season tickets have tripled their price since 2009.
GA season tickets was $50 to $60 from 2009 to 2011. They went up to $100 in 2012 and 2013. Now for this year, I see they have upped them to $150.

When GA season tickets was $50, a family of 4 could have tickets for every home game for $200. Now those same GA season tickets for a family of 4 will run $600. That is going to cut some throats right there because buying individual tickets would run you even more over the season.

Maybe these will be the prices for the Dome, and they are testing to see whats the demand for tickets at these prices !

But still bro, I never understood the taxing on game day crap anyway. Where are the box seats in Memorial? Are they worth 60 bucks?

Yep.
Best seats in the house if you just want to pay for box seats.
You are basically on the bench with your players. If the coach cuss someone out, you may as well be standing right there beside him because you can hear every word.

The box seats are the little boxes all the way down front........$50. The players benches are no more than 10 feet from them. Two rows make up each line of box seats.

Everything on the upper ring is GA tickets....$30. The lower ring from section 109 around the bowl to section 118 is GA tickets.....$30.

Section 107 and 119 is reserved for the bands.

All lower level seating sections 104, 105, 106, 120, 121, and 122 are reserved ..........$40

Personally.
All of my people have adopted section 118 all the way down in that little "point" down front as our section for at least the last 25 years. Seating on the 10 yard line right behind the box seats and in between the lower guard rail separating that section from section 117, 118, and 119 the bottom of memorial.

You may be on to something. To everything, there must be a strategy. Maybe, they want to see who is REALLY ready for the dome. I remember last year folks were angry because they didn't get cupholders in some sections of the loge seating areas at hornet stadium. Bottomline: ppl knit-pick and obsess over the smallest things. If you love your institution/the game, Pay the price.

That is the FAMILY PACKAGE they got posted on the ticket sight. That would mean they giving the Family Package a 50% discount at $150 per GA season ticket for a limited purchasing time. I better get on this and get 4 for $300.

Family & Friends Package

Family & Friends Package consists of 4 general admission season tickets
When purchased between Mar. 18, 2014 & May 7, 2014 will cost $300
When purchased between May 8, 2014 – Aug. 29, 2014 will cost $400

But folks were upset for us charging $20 for parking and $25 for a game day ticket last year. At $45 that is still cheaper than getting bust upside the head with a $40 ticket, and still having to pay for parking in Memorial.

Pay or stay at home.
I don't pay for parking at memorial. I park On the south side of the old bailey magnet.
That's $Free.99 been parking there for almost 10 years now.
Occasionally I park in the Fondren by Duling Hall.
I let the lazy & the elderly folks pay $10 for parking. It's enough of y'all

I don't mind stretching my legs. Besides, I don't have to worry about traffic coming or going.

No big deal.
Valley has upped the JSU ticket price from other games every since they moved it back to Valley. Smart move. Take the BIG GAME back home, charge a little more, keep all your money "on Valley campus".

To get closer, go down WEST street and park on the street beside the "police owned" motorcycle club on the Memorial Stadium West St entrance side on Lorenz Blvd going West towards Mills............Not East towards the Que-house.

A 1 minute walk to the tailgate.

We park at houses. As long as my stuff is the way I left it, its cool. I parked behind the home side in the open field back in 2012. I'll pay the 10 dollars. I'll be damn if I give anybody 20 dollars to park anywhere lol

The free parking is usually a good walk to the stadium i assume

JSU is going to say the $35 tickets have sold out and they will send Southern $45 tickets!
