Typically the casualties of this kind of stuff are the child and the man that gets blamed. Somehow the lying mothers get a pass for what they did. I bet this has happened disproportionally more with Black children then White children. It seems like the State's Department of Social Services only care about is getting money from some man to pay child support.
 
That's my family's current issue. My father never knew his biological father. My now 86 yr old Grandmother refuses STILL til this day to tell us nor my father who his biological father was. Her response continues to be "He died before your dad was born. Now leave me alone with that Shyt". :lol: :smh:

It is sad.. because it not olnly affects my father, but my siblings, and our children and grandchildren. We only want and NEED to know to review possible medical concerns. But my Grandmother is too rigid to budge. At 86, she still isn't telling a Soul.... :noidea:

In some cases, families feared of being threatened if they said who the biological father was years ago, especially in the South. When married White men got a Black woman they were sleeping with pregnant, a lot times, the female's family was too scared to say who the father was, fearing being attacked by the man's White family. I know this young lady from my hometown that is approximately in 30's. Her mother had her and left her in the hospital because she came out too White to be her baby. The grandmother went and got the baby and raised her. The child grew up looking almost like an identical twin to her 1-year old sister, but a lot lighter. Come to find out, her biological dad was some married wealthy White attorney that the mother was having an affair with.
 
I tested mine a couple months after he was born. I used the IdentaGene kit from CVS. It cost about 40 something in the store and the lab fee is about $129.

Funny thing is that when I was in the store I was looking for it but couldn't find it. I was told to ask this older black lady stocking shelves to help me. She was a sister somewhere about early to mid fifties. When we found the kit she was like...

Her: "So you can just do the test at home without anybody know or having to get any blood or anything?"

Me:"Yeah it's pretty convenient now."

Her:"You know, I should get lil <insert kids' nickname> such and such tested out. She 26 now"

Me:<stunned silence>

Her:"Yeah the one that's been raising her is a good man and been taking care of us all this time"

Me:<More silence>

Her"The one that I think might really be her daddy, he wasn't worth nothing, just good for making babies"

Me:<Silence> Purchased my sh*t and left.


In 3 about three minutes of us bonding looking for this item in this store this chick has pretty much told me that she let some old slu-foot n*gga get her pregnant and then placed the kid on another dude who had the means to take of her. For 26 f*cking years she has been lying to the child and this man and even the other dude.
 
It's crazy. It's almost like these women have no heart. But I bet she goes to church every Sunday.

So how does Perry's story support the title of this thread? Getting a DNA test at birth would prove nothing here because the mother knowingly lied. What we don't know is if his father knew he was Perry's biological father or not.

Uh, pretty sure he could've easily found the DNA results if they were done at birth long before now. Also there's no guarantee that if the dude that raised him knew from the start that it wasn't his that he would've even been in the picture. Regardless of Tyler Perry, this is something that should've been done long ago. I know quite a few dudes raising kids that aren't theirs and don't know but it's not my place to say anything so I don't.

Since she can care for herself and any offspring a brief fling may produce, she doesn’t need to worry about provisioning; and since out of wedlock birthing in Black America no longer carries the crippling social stigma it once did (say, 1960 backwards), she need not worry about having to incur that social cost. Add to this a still relatively generous welfare state system to fall back on or a chump when necessary.</silence></more></stunned></insert>

Damn :smh: That's messed up man. So she's basically been telling a lie to her kids for all these years.

Mandatory DNA testing at birth should require that both the presumed father and the newborn baby is a paternal match before a hospital can place some man's name on the child's birth certificate as its biological father, therefore Tyler Perry's story support the need of requiring mandatory DNA testing done at birth.

I feel I would be visiting my daddy in jail a lot for killing my mama. LOL.

Seriously, if he knew all this time and did nothing, then my level of respect for him drop dramatically and I would probably stop f*cking with him on a personal level.

If he didn't know and my mother was hustling him the whole time then I would end my relationship with her and her relationship with my child and any other children I have would end. Last thing I would want is for my kids to be around a bitch like that.

The last thing I would do is reward behavior like that whether it's my mother or any other woman.
 



Thanks for shedding some light to my questions. This is indeed so sad. My girlfriend does not know who her father is and I can tell at times it bothers her. The sadder part is that my lady's mother does not know.

In addition to having an illegitimate affair, there are other reasons why families see a need to lie to the children about their biological father, such as rape, incest, pregnancy by means of prostitution, etc. When I lived in Virginia, I knew this young lady from Muskegon, MI. She had a cousin that eventually had a nervous breakdown after learning that her biological father was her mother's first cousin. Everybody in the family knew except her and the man eventually told her while he was on his death bed. Supposedly him and the mother, his first cousin was sexually involved with each other back when they were children.

Oh, I'll still be grateful for what he did(who wouldn't), but at that point our relationship would not be the same. I would treat him very differently after that point.

This wouldn't invalidate anything he's ever done for me, but how our relationship would be from that point on is my choice. I wouldn't choose to keep f*cking with him if he stood for some sh*t like that.
 
So many of these scenarios are so F'd up but real as a MF. And just think about folks that are born to functionally mentally women. It's a whole lot of sick folks walking around here......
