Wichita State got a real tough draw. A possible 2nd round matchup with Kentucky could be dangerous.

I think they can give Wichita State some problems with Murray on the inside, but I worry about TXSU's ability to defend against Wichita's attack. It is going to take a near perfect game from TXSU to do it. They are 34-0 for a reason. I think it will be close early, before Wichita State pulls away in the 2nd half.

People said that about Zaga. Wichita is beatable and Kentucky could be dangerous for them but Kentucky, am not sold on. They are 8 for a reason.

Difference between the two is Gonzaga was a finesse team lacking athleticism, Wichita State is a physical team with athleticism. We just took to Gonzaga last year and gave them a match-up nightmare all over the court.

I think Kentucky took a huge step forward in the SEC tournament. They showed a lot by coming back down 16 to Florida(even though their points were mostly at the free throw line) who they were owned by twice in the regular season. Kentucky can either make a run to the Final Four, or fall in the first round to Kansas State. That is how inconsistent Kentucky has been this season.

Witchita St. was a Final Four team last year. So being undefeated this year shows they are legit. BUT!!!! Kentucky gone get that ass!!!

They got a real bad draw with UK and possibly Louisville down the road. They will be the first #1 seed to go down for sure.

A #16 seed has never beaten a #1 seed and yet a sorry azz SWAC school could be the first. Man please. Get out of here with that shat.
 
I almost got my head chopped off around here last year when I said SU was going to give Gonzaga hell. Gonzaga was the weakest #1 seed of all time and SU has a history of standing up to the big fellas. I never count the Jags out unless they are just totally out manned. This year, I am less optimistic about TSU's chances because of what they have done against major conference foe in the past. TSU needs to focus on beating Cal Poly. A team that shouldn't have won their conference and should not beat the SWAC champions. Please TSU, don't let the SWAC and HBCU Basketball down by losing the play n game like we love to do. The play n game is counted as a NCAA Tournament win. We need all of the wins we can get. Wichita State has very good team this year. But all of the scary cats on this board need to understand that they are still a non major division I program and once again give us a chance against a weaker #1 seed. Wichita State won't make the final four. Please quote me on that. I just don't see it. They are beatable. The only question is if Texas Southern is going to come in scared to leave it all on the line. UAPB put Winthrop in their place in the SWAC's last play in game. TSU needs to keep it rolling. If they make it to the Wichita State game, they need to impose their will from opening tip off in order to have a chance. There is nothing in my head that tells me that Texas Southern can't win. Texas Southern has shown that they can get physical against Miami, Temple, Stanford, Texas Tech, FIU, TCU and even Tulsa. All of those teams are more physical than Cal Poly. Texas Southern needs to win that game before worrying about the Shockers.

There is nothing like watching the HBCU's rise to the occasion and saying "F the odds" in the NCAA Tournament. It's almost like we all become one major university together. Good luck to TSU.

As a former college bball player and witnessing the tournament in person, I stand by my statement. All it takes is for one player to get hot...see Steph Curry at Davidson.
