WHO DAT Nation: Saints Release Lance Moore

I knew the salary cap will cripple you all, but never thought Jimmy G. would do what he did. Thank you Jimmy G!!!!!!!

Spoken like someone who doesn't know what they're talking about. In order to compete with Seattle we need to revamp the offense just like we did with the defense. This has nothing to do with the salary cap.

Even with all of those players and the 10 million dollar deal sitting on the table for Graham the Saints are right at the cap limit. Especially since the cap recently went up! If we wanted to keep them we could have just restructured their deals because nobody else will pay that much for them at this point. Again you don't know what you're talking about. Why pay Moore and Speoles 3-5 mil each when they have had injuries and they are slow? The Saints will go after a big target in free agency and build through the draft. What are the FAILcons doing other than praying they can get Clowney which won't happen?

WE ARE BUILDING A POWER FOOTBALL TEAM, RUN THE BALL RUN THE BALL RUN THE BALL AND RUN THE BALL, We saw that concept develop in the playoffs, Robinson and Ingram became essential to the offensive playcalling. We rebuilt our defense during last offseason and reaped outstanding results, Atlanta saw those results TWICE, and this year, We are building a offense for the future, most of the offense will be have many years of future production. Brees have 2-3 years, at best, as a top QB, but Payton and Loomis are very high on Ryan Griffin from Tulane and he is learning the system.

The Saints are building a power football team with Brees still the QB?

Brees is one of the Top 5 QB's in the NFL. You bring in a power running game the table will turn. Truth be told small decisions changed the entire playoffs. If we would have beat Carolina that extra week would had enabled us to get to the Superbowl.

That is neither here nor there....

Right now we have a REAL defensive coordinator and guess what...some of his players from Dallas are available....

If we get this Griffin kid...I would be happy. He seems to WANT to be there also he appears to want to be in a position that Ryan Mallet is in with the Patriots.

You act like Sean Payton doesn't have an ego.

What NFL coach doesn't....Payton has shown that you don't have to have a susperstar name to play in his system. That's why I like Payton. He will use every player to their maximum capability. The only problem I had with this season was when Graham was shut down Payton didn't seem to be prepared.

Yep the scary part is that we have young guys (Toon, Morgan, Cadet) that are very talented but have been waiting in the wings.

Exactly that's why I laugh at folks that believe the sky is falling or that we have "cap issues".

Payton and Loomis have paid attention to the Parcells/Belichick way of doing things.

RIGHT, and people seem to forget, we get players from West Texas A&M, South Carolina State UAPB and Stillman and turn them into superstars, it's our system!!!
