The NCAA been sucking.
It took them all this time to admit not having a playoff for the big boys was garbage when every sports watching person in the country knew it 20 years ago. :lol:

So to answer your question, yes the NCAA is a joke but the SWAC is and has been a joke in everything they have done the last 20 years. :lmao:

Nope. That's just the facts. New folks who can vote any way they want. I did not say I agreed with the vote. I rather SU stay in BR for the tourney. But y'all are acting like the same 10 presidents are at our schools who voted to ban SU and JSU from the SCG. The facts are that they are not and some are so recent that this is their first big vote. Lol. You need to take up your displeasure with the Queen. She should be a leader and groom these newbie Presidents to vote with her Ll the time.

BCS is not another entity. It's part of the NCAA. And does the NCAA sucks? The mobsters in Indy? I'll let you answer that question. They're in the money business. If it's about money, then it's about business. If you can't bring in the money, then you get the bozak.

The BCS is separate from the NCAA. They do have approval to use NCAA teams but it is a separate entity and the NCAA has no say so.
 
And the BCS is only at the end of the season, right? I mean, the NCAA governs the teams through the season and conference championships, right?

Nobody within the NCAA governs the playoffs. A committee - you know, the one Condi Rice is on - selects the teams that will participate in the College Football Playoff.

All schools still have to abide by NCAA rules, though.
 
Go back to the U.S. Supreme Court ruling in 1984 on TV contracts. The plaintiffs were led by Georgia and Oklahoma while the defendant was the NCAA. The big schools won and since then have won big.

If you go from Free Facilities to paying, the money has to come from somewhere. How much is Houston paying for the SWAC Tournament? Move the Tournament back to Birmingham.

I have no problem believing a member of the opposite sex. I was taught very well by the female members of my family (mother, grandmothers, aunts, and cousins).

Someone may have mentioned some of this before, but I thought I would mention it anyway.

Here is what is going to happen. If an ineligible teams wins while the furthest advancing eligible team makes the NCAA tournament, those schools that barely missed out on an at-large bid will do their usual complaining. They would have done it anyway. Some of those schools, their fans especially, will complain loudly. They will wonder why is a SWAC team that did not win their conference tournament allowed to go the the NCAA tournament. Members of the media will offer their opinions, and most if not all will be unfavorable towards the SWAC. (It has already started.) Someone will bring up Memphis State in 1987. Then MSU won their conference tournament despite being ineligible for the NCAA tournament. People took shots at the then Metro Conference for letting it happen. I think that conferences stopped letting ineligible teams into their tournaments because it became a big issue then. (I will have to check.) Then again the SWAC is something different.

Now, will we see the commissioner or one of the presidents who voted for this go on camera and explain their reasoning in the next two weeks? (If they did let me know.) It may happen, but I would not be surprised if they kept quiet.

Let the embarrassment begin.
