Im just kidding. But for real tho, you are the only other school besides us jsu folks in here but i know some are lurking. I have not been in the other schools threads yet, how is it looking over there at su?

His teammate was recruited by you guys as well. RB Tyrone Scott. This was while Comegy was HC. Scotts dad told me after that happened they stopped recruiting him. He signed with Nicholls. Helluva RB too.

Yeah we had a couple of other guys we were looking at, including a local prospect I'm still hoping we sign. We also have the walkon from Indianapolis coming in. The kid looks like a player on film but We're ok at Rb and can afford to be choosy.

Damn, no North Mississippi Recruits. :smh: Man you all are missing out on some talent in that area. Ole Miss and State are getting those guys. They are also getting talent from ICC (Itwamba Community College).

We don't really have a presence up that way - never have. Maybe Jackson and co will do better. We need to get back to recruiting Memphis. That used to be a prime area for us.

I was hoping that Jackson would put a coach on the staff who was from that area. We have never done well in NE MS. I don't think we make an effort. Most of the kids in Lee, Monroe, Alcorn Counties, etc are brainwashed into Ole Miss, MS State or JUCO. I know one kid form Okolona who turned down a partial scholly to JSU to walk on at USM at the advice of his dad. Never saw the field the whole time he was there. And didn't graduate.

I don't understand how we go to Memphis every year and don't recruit from Memphis/South Haven/West Memphis Arkansas area.
 
Jackson said he gon recruit MS/get the home talent. Looks like he lied. Just saying. Ain't that one of the reason why Comegy got fired?

What makes you think he lied? He's been here for 3 weeks and had to build a class from what was there. It takes time to establish a recruiting plan for the state - but you already know this.

Comegy got fired because he couldn't get past the likes of Monte Coleman, Dawson odums....you get the picture.
