No y'all basically got punked by your administration. You hire a guy with a losing HC record that has been out of college football for years. You can't give out a list because there was no list worth mentioning. Jenkins didn't even want to come there at all so you can give that a rest. I'm sure 260k wasn't shit to come up with but y'all look like a donkey's arse giving it to a 68 year old guy with a 7-27 record as a HC. :lol:

Who turned us down because of money TP? Jenkins never got that far. He was waffling because he thought he had an opportunity at a PWC as an OC and one possibly as HC as well as he knew he would drive BCU offer on the extension. He wanted to delay coming to BR for the formal interview and our AD was like enough of the posturing. Spady came and interviewed and was hoping he got the job. Odums did his interview and the cat who was at Alcorn who is Brian Kelly's guy now at Notre Dame said he couldn't away in time while preparing for the BCS title game with ND. Kelly wanted none of his people away from ND doing anything. So those were the 4 finalist. Everybody else were the same usual suspects who put in for all these jobs and got no where. Our AD did talk to Maynor and we all knew he was going to ask for big money and we all figured he would wait on a MEAC job. He was the only other name HBCU coach we would have been interested in. Still trying to see where people turned SU down because we were not paying. We just were not going to be dumb and pay a coach 260K that is 68 years old. Big Worm got his 140K and a SWAC title to along with his 52K in bonus money. Now he will make 175K base. JR ain't happy about that. But I will not gripe about. We pay these coaches too much damn money. Now look what JSU just did. Open Pandora's box wide the fugg open. Now HBCU coaches going to be asking for 300K soon. Jenkins is supposed to have pimped BCU out of 270K. So even the JSU offer was not enough for him in a state with no state income tax. LOL.
 
When I first read about Mr Jackson I said "that seems like an unusual hire". I thought that there must be something I don't know about the situation. Maybe JSU is pulling a fast one on the SWAC. Let's give this guy a chance and see what will happen.
Then I opened the thread and looked at the video and in amazement through up my hands in my classroom and laughed out loud. Kids in the hall were wondering what was going on. As I skimmed over the comments and post, it was quite comical how everyone reacted.
I almost feel sorry for JSU. My underdog fanhood almost came out.

Hey JSU folks I have been so rude let me be the first to say Congratulations on the hiring of your New or is it Old (hell I am so :confused:) football coach!
 
Jackson State alumni are so weak, can't understand why they were clapping when Jackson spoke, the man really wasn't saying anything.

Did you honestly think they were going to setup a press conference without anyone cheering on they new hired HC? I'm sure individuals were asked to show as much support as they can for their new coach.
 
JUST WATCHED PRESS CONFERENCE AND IT WASN'T THAT BAD AT ALL. YOU GUYS ARE JUST SCARED AND JEALOUS AND WILL SAY OR DO ANYTHING TO TEAR DOWN MIGHTY JSU.
THAT'S FINE AND DANDY.
