But will it start with PaPa Jackson at the helm...I'm not sure he will make to the start of the season...Ya'll better not let that old man be out in that sun in August you know that the heat is back for old people!

We know Jenkins isn't staying at BCU forever... he wouldn't keep throwing his name into these openings if he was. but damn. At least Jenkins has a resume. You don't guarantee a proven winner an interview but hire this dude and give him almost 70K more than Comegy (another proven winner)...

When you want the best, you pay for it. What ya'll don't know is that we even flew a JSU contingent out to interview him. LOL We heard this a few weeks back but we didn't believe. Once he said he would be our coach, it was all gravy.

Jackson has also had a lengthy career as an assistant coach at the NFL and college levels. His most recent job was as an assistant coach with the Sacramento Mountain Lions of the United Football League in 2012.

The school introduced Jackson during a Monday press conference on campus. Jackson State spokesman Eric Stringfellow said Jackson has a three-year contract that will pay $260,000 annually.

Comegy made about $200,000 in his final season with the Tigers.

''I want to thank you for this opportunity to come back home,'' Jackson said. ''I'm not a big speaker - I believe in action. We're going to put the excitement and the product on the field. We're going to be disciplined.''
