Thank you for backing me up with this... this "insignificant" bowl games pull ratings... ESPN would not be trying to create more bowl games if they weren't pulling in viewers.

ESPN has the broadcast rights to every bowl game except the Sun Bowl and Cotton Bowl, which are televised annually on CBS and Fox respectively. There used to be a time when there were bowl games on every major network. But, ESPN swooped in and basically monopolized the whole thing.

It might be because I only paid attention to Florida, but ever since I was watching football, the bowl games were always on ESPN/ABC, with a random bowl or 2 being on Fox, CBS, and TBS.

It might be because I only paid attention to Florida, but ever since I was watching football, the bowl games were always on ESPN/ABC, with a random bowl or 2 being on Fox, CBS, and TBS.

For years the Orange Bowl was on NBC. ABC had, and still does, carry the Rose Bowl and CBS had the Cotton Bowl and Fiesta Bowl, too. That's not the case these days.

We will watch the bowl games for the PWC, but will scream at the top of our lungs if the HBCU's create one! I am so amazed! Yes, there are too many bowl games just to make a buck. Most of the schools that are playing in the smaller bowl games lose money!

Ok then, when bowl games are created for FCS Schools or HBCU's remember the them, let em play. Then that also means that the Heritage Bowl can be brought back also and remember; let em play!
