Anyone that watched the New Mexico Bowl and says there are too many bowl games.......

Re: Anyone that watched the New Mexico Bowl and says there are too many bowl games...

Try that trick on somebody, kid. You said they didn't wanna play in a bowl game, other than the BCS title game. It was meaningless. But you try to pass off a poll where the participants (assuming they are college football student-athletes) are asked to choose between playing a bowl game or being in a playoff. Apples and figs. You know it. Try that shit with somebody else.

If less than 30 percent of the players surveyed said they would rather play in the playoffs than a bowl - regardless if its apples to figs - it shows that they don't necessarily hold these bowl games in high esteem to begin with.

Ask them if they'd rather play in any bowl game or be at home after their last regular season game and see it become 100-0 in favor of playing in any bowl game.

This is a dream matchup for this bowl.... Tulane being in New Orleans and ULL being right up the road. This is a good game through and honestly I usually don't watch these pre-bcs bowls much.

Tulane avg less than 20K and ULL about 25K. It may be a dream matchup but the reason there are 60K is because Tulane fans are excited and ULL has been drawing 40K+ for this game for the last few years.

Kendrick, just admit that you just talking out the side of your neck and move on. Given the choice as a player, I'd choose playoffs over a bowl game. But if my choice is bowl game or go home, then I'm choosing bowl game. So, quit acting like your weak attempt proves your earlier assertion. It doesn't.

I'm sure enjoying it........

For those that don't know, the Doss kid that is playing DB for Tulane is the younger brother of S.U. All SWAC performer Lee Doss...

I'll admit I'd play in a bowl game if I were given $500 in free swag to take home.

The Superdome looks packed. They just stated the crowd is the largest ever for this Bowl......

Helps that 2 Louisiana teams are in it, including one from New Orleans. lol

I saw some horrible gameplay at the end there. lol

How Tulane was able to even get in field goal range with that dude throwing lame ducks out there is beyond me. I know Joe Montana hated seeing his son get benched.

I saw something different. I saw a Tulane QB that was trying to make something happen and was successful. I saw two team battling and played their hearts out but in the final analysis someone had to lose. But I guess it is all in perception. Neither team has nothing to be ashamed of.

I'm with you. And I'm sure Montana hated to see his son get benched, but I bet he understood. His son was terrible, and that pick 6 was downright pathetic. The backup didn't look pretty throwing, but he was much more effective.

Re: Anyone that watched the New Mexico Bowl and says there are too many bowl games...

his son is at Tulane for a reason as he had to go JUCO after his first school didn't work out

not every kid is as good as their hall of fame parent

Re: Anyone that watched the New Mexico Bowl and says there are too many bowl games...

The pre-bowl experience is awesome for these kids.

The game is the cherry on the cake.

I also enjoyed the Tulane game vs. ULL
