The NCAA FCS and D-2 playoffs are ran by the Association. The NCAA use the money generated by the playoffs for their yearly operating expense. Only those participating in the FBS bowls make money.

I hate to say it but some of our people will mess up a wet dream. That last game between Bama State and Skegee was 1st class and a beautiful sight to see.........played in a packed house, in a new stadium, on national television and some idiot(s) decided they want to play for Mr. Cholly free of charge.....

I was jumping up and down about playoffs but when I learned you get no money unless you win the thing (or at the least get to the finals) and as a business man I said forget that crap.
Unless you have alumni with deep pockets who give big to athletics it does not make sense fiscally. You have to be able to offset the expenditure of participating in a playoff system that offers no compensation for participating.
You make money and all I get is debt. I don't think so.

The other sad thing is that Skegee wanted to play ASU in Cramton Bowl, instead of ASU's new stadium. (More money in the new stadium) :noidea:

I thought ASU would be closed by now. Aren't SACs and the FBI on campus trying to close ASU down. I hope they are successful. With all the cheating and money laundering going on you would think the tax payers would be tired of people stealing. Its going to be hard for that chick to make ASU do a 180 turn. We will be able to tell if she is crooked or straight. If she is around more than 2 months that means Silver has corrupted her and she is on the take. If she is there less than 2 months that means she is an honorable person who tried to turn ASU around.

First of all he is assuming that the only weekend ASU and Skegee can play is thanksgiving day. Both are off the Saturday before. You can play that weekend and do both. They can play in the classic and goto the playoffs
He said the TDC with Skegee makes a lot of money for the city of Montgomery. Well if that's the case tell the city to kick in a couple of hundred thousand to Skegee. Its not skegees job to look out for the city of Montgomerys economy
You can't compare Tuskegees situation to Grambling SU or Bamastate ...if either of those schools goes 11-0 they still have a championship to play for. If Skegee goes 11-0 with a victory over ASU in the TDC that's the end of their season regardless with nothing to look forward to.
How many better players will Skegee get by going to the playoffs? Players want to play for something. Just being homecoming bait for a school like ASU is nothing to look forward to.
I don't have to attack those bogus numbers. Even he admitted he pulled those numbers from the sky. If ASU gets 25k fans at 25 bucks a ticket then Skegee should pull in $300 from that game since you just showed them that only half the fans show up without Skegee being there.
So to wrap this up Skegee should get 300k from ASU they should get 200k from the city and they should move the game up to the Saturday before thanksgiving so they can have a win win win.

The TU alums I know are excited about not playing in the Turkey Day game anymore. They say don't expect them to go to ASU & play in their stadium each year. I also heard the pay out wasn't that great so why not go for the playoffs. One would think that ASU had better things to do such as worry about SACS and other important issues that could affect the university than Tuskegee. I heard that TU won't be back for Turkey Day festivities.
