Okay I hear you J4L. Who is your backup QB and how many games did he play in cleanup duty? Quin shinned but most teams leave the middle wide open in the SWAC. On deep post and corner routes he was always overthrown or too short to catch with decenet DB's. The Runnig back is decent as well but this and most all teams are QB driven...No need to discuss the team this year. Every team is new each season. Injuries,grades, etc....

Dude was a FR and could have started...it was WR that couldn't sniff the field becuz of the talent..#9 Morgan...dude really haven't even gotten really into the offense yet..had to wait this year.....RBs too...The best RB we have IMO aint even play enough...The recruits are coming...it just that they will have to work for time...
Mike Jones...I hadn't even heard of dude until DOSS GOT ZIPPED for a game and ask Bama St bout him.. lol...dude just need to work on 'hands' but no DB in the SWAC can cover this dude...he toasted GSU DBs..and you see what he did to Cox

Our penciled-in 2014 starter was redshirted. Similar to yall's. But make no mistake, he is good (like yall's).

Quinn scored his 2nd TD on a deep route up the sideline. He beat your boy Cox in the first game on a deep route up the sideline also.

Make sense...

Granted QB is needed but you put playmakers around him to take that pressure off the kid (have them) 2 solid RB and another one on the way, Key Defensive players...this season and this is me...nobody on defense was consider a 'key' player..they 'all' contribute nicely especially towards the ends...not training..SU has always put emphasis on training but at times don't look the part, I think this year they were better conditioned than any year that I've watched them to be honest...but training you listed is important..and injuries...I think the depth we have...will help...don't know how our OL and DL will be looking, but the depth in other areas..we should be find..but I understand where you coming from folk..I'm just sayin the kids that'll be on the roster will be a better team than what we had this year...and we won the ship this year...may not mean nothing to you, but I'm looking forward to see what Odums will have on the field Week 1...

I really don't understand why Doss keeps coming up when we had Fr and Soph. making big plays. LOL

We are losing Balancier and VWill on D. Biggest losses. Heck Balancier (and Doss) was suspended one game we won.

It's like now that Doss is gone..PICK YOUR POISON...who will be double-team now...Quinn prolly, but he will jump in the slot...and we got other WR that will kill...I mean it was displayed somewhat in the 'ship' game...
Doss just was the 'main' target becuz of the SR to SR combo..this year coming up....Oh my...and plus Baker will be on deck if things fall into place...smh...I'm seriously saying this could get ugly lol

They need to stfu. Virgil didn't play all the games this season. Balancier will be our biggest loss. I like Virgil's replacement. They keep talking about Doss and they saw he wasn't the only wide out making plays or maybe their defense wasn't as good as it seemed.

Bradley Brown didn't even suit up last year. I don't know if he will but if he come back. :smh: I'm more worried about our QB situation but I like the idea of having a mobile QB.

Big head? Grades? QB needed? It seems as if you want us to have the big head or have players out with grades. Those guys are still working. The ones who are returning. They won't think the mentality is get 1 and just sit on your azz. They are going for a repeat.

Totally forgot about this kid..I have a strong feeling he will suit up...I do...but the whole FR QB, I have no worries...dude was the MVP of the class he was in..He put up numbers...A good off-season and he'll be good plus the offense he'll be in fits him and he's tall lol...I think a few W's under his belt he'll be fine...I'm not really concern to be honest...I know he'll have his lumps but other than that...he'll be alright...I"m more concerned on how we will call the games...that's my biggest issue..

Brown eligibility is up. If he could have played lawd lol. #87 going to the league. Dude just going to be a sophomore. He killed Bama St also lol. One handed diving catch while being held, plus they called back a 80 yard TD from him because our center blocked low way down the field after Menard had passed him up by 10 yards. Menard was at the 1 when they threw the flag. In the BC Doss was wide open because they were worried about Menard lol. Y'all noticed how Doss was kinda a bad apple until after the Bama St game. He was a perfect team player after that.


Menard- rising soph
Quinn- rising junior on paper( but he will get the year back)
Mike Jones- rising junior
#9 - rising junior
Tillery- rising redshirt soph
Favorite(SU's best RB) rising soph

Plus wait until the two WR that redshirted hit the field lol. Dude said its a rebuilding year :lol:




SU WR will be waaaayyyyyy better next season :) :) :)

Oh I forgot SU best two O linemen didn't play this season, and we only losing Hall, our center.

But your whole team was bad and you didn't separate yourself from any team in the SWAC except Grambling. I do agree with you all that your team might get better with Joseph gone (if you have a QB lined up who can do the things he couldn't)

I cant see any one stopping our offense after game two of next year except maybe Germany, but I do even expect him to get better by next year. But once our red-shirt freshman QB gets his feet wet and is established we should be looking at 40 pts. a game. He won't have the experience that Dray had, and that is a big missing element, but he can do so much more athleticly that Dray couldn't do that it will come close to balancing out. I do think we need to recruit a ready to play Jr. College QB though, because when you have that mobile QB that might take off from time to time the chances of him getting hurt go up. So it would be good to have that back up just in case. We solid at the OL, but you can always use dept at OL and DL. Our center position is not in all that bad of shape even in loosing the starter Hall. If you recall, hall did not play most of last season due to an injury and the youngster who started for him is still there and only will be a junior in 2014. All in all the program seems to be in good shape. And keeping our staff together adds stability which is a big plus. Now if those 18, 19, and 20 year olds do as they are very much instructed to do at SU and win in the Student part of the Student/Athlete equation then we are gonna be just fine.

Dude the pinkside wasn't up to par last year or this year. Your QB sucked, your WR's sucked, and you RB's were too slow mentally to know the difference between out of bounds and inbounds. :lol:
 
Southern U. is more than fine at the skilled positions. We do need a few good interior lineman and linebackers to take us to that next level.......We will probably open the season up next year in front of 45-50,000 folks in Ragin Cajun stadium. We have work to do in order to represent ourselves out of conference better than we did last year. This is an area where we have a lot of fans also..........We have got to put in work and excel. Next year is a big season for the Jags that can cement the trend towards a dominant program...

If anything that was posted yesterday, I don't know about because I was taking care of my daughter after her operation. Looking at the number of threads about the incident yesterday I would figure that the other mods/admins would have been around to take care of ii. But how many picture smacks have you posted on the sports board that you've gotten away with or even the infraction that I removed from you?

Our receivers are very good. You all caught a big break in that championship game. We could have very easily had the Mike Jones show in that game. If you don't know...........You better ask somebody.

But TP, is that not a part of the game....Going back to the Game in BR...did one of your scores come off a Dray Joseph fumble at our own nine yard line and in the Championship game didn't one of your scores come off a fumble scoop and score from inside our own 15....come on man...we just made more plays than you guys did and won the game. All that is in the game....
