SWAC Commiss forcing Gram to Houston for BOTB?

My sources are telling me other bands won't show due to bad weather, stay tuned....

PV, TxSU, ASU, Alcorn, AAMU will all be there. UAPB/Gram not coming I don't think. And not sure about Valley

every band was there other than GRAM and UAPB. i guess JSU and SU got a pass due to the game. THE WORST BOTB EVER.

The weather here in Arkansas is pretty bad. We have had freezing, sleet and rain since around 5pm Thursday. I just returned home from Houston and Baton Rouge and took I-530 from Pine Bluff to Little Rock. Can't speak for Grambling, but I'm almost sure this is why M4 was not in attendance (phil would have the specific details). After what happened to our Vesper Choir, I'm sure Chancellor Alexander and Dr. Graham (band director) did not want to risk the safety of M4 and their band staff. And after driving on the highways, I agree that it was a good call by my alma mater.

This needs to be held on Friday night before the game and it needs to be better organized. It should be judged and the declared winner should take home $30,000. All participants should receive $10-$15K. Rules: no singing, and no excessively long skits and gimmicks. High emphasis placed on drilling creativity, musicality, and marching.

In your minds.

Exactly, whenever someone makes the reference or claim of "they hate us," it's really nothing more than a person (within his/her mind) that simply wants to be hated. It's an egomaniacal mindset that some simply take comfort in, when in reality, nobody really cares.

Not a bad idea at all.

While it was good to see so many of our bands at one venue, this was an awful 'battle'. Had this been a separate event, I'da been mad..... I'da rather they all post up in the stands and crank on each other, than some of what we saw yesterday...

In my opinion, Alabama State's Hunny Bees got the best applause or the night while the Golden Girls got all the 'ooohs and ahhhs'.... Now what does THAT say about the state of our bands....

But the Marching Hornets and the Lean Greens (Valley) sounded better than everybody else....

Yeah, I said it....

Almost needed to call the Fire Department to put PV's two snares out....
