Secondly just getting to the scg is good enough for AAMU. He went 50% of his tenure. Going forward I don't wanna hear nothing about good coaches who graduate players as a as the most important quality. This guy did all of that plus he won. Yet Stimey thought it was a good idea to fire the guy after just one year. AAMU is not a football school the fans don't show up they get no support. AAMU is going to have a losing season every 4 years or so. So what!!!! Ain't nobody there watching anyway. The nerve of them. I wish JSU would hire Jones in some type leadership capacity.

Dude, for ONCE man up and answer a gott damm question and stop spewing that simplistic bullshit. That answer is ONE. AAMU is justified in firing Jones.

And for all of the credit you've just given Jones for his good works, you don't even realize that you've just admitted that the leadership at J-State must not be about shit if you are hoping they can find a job for him at your school. And considering what is going on within the athletic department at your school, it's understandable why you would want Jones on board; with APR issues, pending and on-going sexual discrimination lawsuits (homo and hetero), Jones may not be a bad hire to implement some professional discipline within the JSU ranks.

First of all you are from Grambling so its hard for me to take anything you say seriously. Grambling is the armpit crotch and bowels of NCAA athletics. Why are you here trying to talk sports. Ain't there a Smalltalk forum for people like you?

Jones was a good coach. He is somebody Grambling should've considered. One thing about his players for sure, they wasn't no punk ass bitches like Broadway left Grambling. His players played hard and fast Everytime. His resume speaks for itself. If this was a football move I could understand ....but its not...this is a personal move and I hope it backfires. I think you were questioning his success in the scg and you have a valid point. My point is AAMU should just be happy to be relevant. Nobody goes to there games. The students don't leave their dorms the AARC group doesn't leave their nursing homes for home games. I'm sure its hard to get a constant supply of decent players to play there.

So it seems like he is in good company since he does have 1 and no current coach is running away with the SWAC.

Ok ...is that good enough for you? GR really doesn't like to converse with folks that have such low sports acumen. Makes me feel like I'm taking advantage of folks. Go get basebone to help you since he knows more about sports than all of us

I'm with you as Jones was somewhat consistent but he was very predictable also. Either he had good teams that relied on a solid QB for 2 years and then a 2 to 3 year period where the teams flat out sucked with no QB.

Plus, he never changed D-coordinators as Townes scheme was either dead-on or sucked.

Not showing up in big games hurt him also

Dude, JSU's leadership is miles ahead of Grambling's. I can't even fathom our football team quitting on our fans, alumni, AD and President.
Your leadership showed NO backbone or even a hint of negotiating skills to keep those boys in check and to make them feel needed.
Basically, the sorriest team in the nation, with players who can barely read, spade and neutered Grambling's leadership and over what? Nobody still knows to this day.
Now let that marinate in your brain cells before you ever think about criticizing JSU's leadership and athletic program.
 
And from the way that dude could barely read a simple written statement on national television, Grambling's football team's APR no way in hades should be anywhere near JSU's. I know we have at least ONE player who can read a simple phrase or two.:emlaugh::smh:

Those people are deep in denial and act like they are Spelman or even Morehouse. Narcissism at it's best. They talk all that noise but look at their lack of championships, they are so rich but they had to rent Confederate Memorial for years and now they got it as a hand-me-down but they are so much. Have AD's sexually harassing other females, was the first school to get banned due to APR but they are so perfect. Please. Back to topic, Good Luck A&M.

I love to see individuals from HBCU's expressing their pride and confidence in their school, but not at the expense of other HBCU's. From some strange reason, jSU folks thinks White folks love their school more than they love other HBCU's.

I mean i never met folks like those people. People from other HBCU's talk with sense but not many of the JSU faithful. Notice they only uplift themselves and the worry about everyone else.

I have no problem with them UPLIFTING themselves, but what's really crazy, they think them White folks in Mississippi and in some other athletic conference are going to UPLIFT them too. That's about some of the most delusional and bizarre crap I have ever come across.

I'm speaking for myself. I can unequivocally say FVCK ALL YALL. I hope all y'all fail. I hope all y'all have to cancel your athletic programs or stand in front of the world like Grambling did and admit that division 1 sports has passed you by. Its amazing how we are suppose to be uplifting HBCUs and the SWAC but when the APR issue broke in 2011 every HBCU in the SWAC broke their damn neck trying to get to the table to vote against JSU and RETRO a bad rule (yeah I'm bringing it up again). So when we tried to say "hey that's not fair you shouldn't do that give us more time " the SWAC those HBCUs had NO sympathy on JSU. JSU had to go to the whitefolks for sympathy and relief.

So why would we give a damn about Grambling or any other school in the SWAC. We could've done the same thing the NCAA did but our uplifting HBCUs went out of their way to keep us down NOT uplift us. But that's ok...look at us now and look at you now. We are on top and y'all are the worst school in the NCAA. So you can GTFOOHWTB about uplifting.

SMH..All you guys do is down JSU. You root for any team to beat JSU...So we're suppose to lick you all arse now...We don't look for D wight man approval at JSU.We love ourselves and don't need outside validation.....You got us mixed up with another school...

And the worst part is...the uplifting HBCUs that voted against JSU and tried to keep JSU down had much worse APR scores than ours. One of those uplifting HBCUs had the worst APR in the history of the world. Yet they voted against JSU. Seems to me those intelligent people would've seen the APR storm coming and figured out that we are all in the same boat. So let's work together and uplift each other....but NOOOOOOO ....the first chance y'all got to stab an HBCU in the back y'all ran for the knife. So much for uplifting each other.
