JSU vs SU REMATCH - Bring it ON!!!!!!

You don't know anything about football. :lmao:

We could have scored 50 on AAMU.. We got to the 2 yard line like 3 times. Your defense would not be able to keep us out of the endzone. Also, in the first quarter, I think we lost two fumbles and a tipped pass got intercepted. We didn't even have the ball in the first quarter....

TP, you have said that every year. By now, you should know the SU and JSU series the last 20 years have very few blowouts. We got one against Bell and Hughes got one in dome right before Bell. Otherwise these games have been pretty tough. You fans want 50.

Ya'll never played us this late in the year tho. This is when we score 50 on bad and depleted teams.

That's football!!! That's why you couldn't score 50 in AAMU.

Nope. I know JSU fans keep wanting that signature blowout of SU. But this game has too many emotions for that to happen. We could be 1-11 and show up in Houston with Stump, Bell, and Dr. Johnny all on the sidelines coaching SU and put up a fight against JSU and push that game into late in the 4th.

As GR and TP both have told me, SU just refuses to lay down to JSU. LOL. That's why this game makes a lot of yall nervous. You won't admit it on here which is fine. But I got homeboys who always say they know SU will not just take an arse kicking from JSU no matter what.

JR, you are right. SU gets up for JSU and JSU plays down to SU. :D

However, in this case, you can't always be lucky. At some point, your lack of talent vs JSU is going to show.

AAMU just has a good defense. Ya'll don't. That's football. I actually appreciate AAMU stopping us how they did. We couldn't do anything against them down there but MY POINT is that SUs defense won't be able to stop us at first and goal from the 2. I know it and you know it (unless you happen to strip the ball).

I can agree with you on this one and since you are the only one from SU besides 94 with any kind of sense, I can tell you that most JSU fans know this...Dont take this as SMACK but on paper we should blow SU out. But the fact is we could lose this game if we have more than 4 or more turnovers reason I say 4 is because we have had games Moore has turn the ball over that much and the defense still keeps them in the game! My hope is for this game to be over by the 3rd quarter which can be possible if they come out and RUN THE BALL......

The last game SU could not effectively stop the run, and we didnt start running the ball til the 3rd quarter...just imagine if it was done in the 1st half instead of going 4 wide..

Also with all those all world receivers and qb SU has they should be lighting up the score board especially against JSU because everyone knows we are a blitz heavy defense and our DBs are primarily in a man/deep 3rd coverage but its obvious that wasnt the case for SU...

Alabama A&M Defense is ranked 12 in the Nation
Jackson St ranked 28
Southern University ranked 101..

TP Logic: "We couldv'e scored 50 but we turned the ball over and got stopped on most of our drives."

WTF? LOL

Minus the emotions it would be a blow-out....the emotions make it entertaining. "We Respect All, but Fear None" - Ricardo Comegy

I don't think we gonna come out playing in this one. We actually came out passing in BR and we were quite effective. However, we need to start out giving them a heavy dose of Capler, Gooden and Sims. Then Pendleton, Singleton, and Perkins will kill them. I don't see SU staying in the game with us unless we turn the ball over. Joseph can try to throw the ball all day on us if he wants but I just can't him being successful. ... Given that SU can't run and given the fact that JSU has better special teams, this should be a no contest. We have the better offense, defense, special teams and coaches. I think SU might have the better cheerleaders tho. :snicker:

You think SUs defense can stop us on the 2 yard line three times? If so, your smack is funny. SU won't even be able to stop us from the 20 yard line.

We can depend on this defense when they are under pressure...no real star player but we have play-makers. I want griff-badger to get another pic against dray, and I want cox to get one.

Yeah the coaches on both sidelines tend to over think themselves at times. Don't know why. I think SU folks know on paper that JSU is supposed to have the better team especially due to the defense comparisons. But I think SU fans feel we can beat JSU because of the intangibles and we really do feel like we have an offense that can score. We have shot ourselves in the foot in the redzone so much this year with some questionable coaching calls and some where the players just did not execute is the reason why we have not averaged more points a game. But one thing I will say about Comegy this year. I think this has been one his best coaching jobs. He may need to rein in your OC and DC at times but overall Comegy has done a great job this year even if some JSU folks still want him gone. Personally I like ball control offenses with big play ability. I know Big Worm wants that, but we have to develop into that. Our young RBs have potential. Best ones we have had in a long time. We just got to transition into that type of team and you can't do it when you are set up to be a passing team more so than a run team. So you have game plan better. Pass to run instead of run to pass. That is what we tried to do earlier in the year. I think they have figured it out finally that we have to pass first. Maybe next season when we have a threat at QB that can run the rock then we will become a better offense. Dray can throw, but every SWAC DC knows he ain't running that ball so they just send the kitchen sink at him when he is back there in the shotgun. If he was mobile like UAPBs Qb or even Moore at JSU. Dray would shred folks badly. If he can get the ball out quickly he can have a big game on you. Game calling by our OCs will be key in this game. We already know our run defense is suspect although it has gotten better since early this season, but we have to tackle and get off the field in 3rd and longs. Only in the SWAC can teams convert 3rd and 20 all the damn time. LOL.

We tried that in the A&M game and being on the sideline that day I really saw alot of what was going on...They came out and started with Sims heavy (Bama the reason being because they were saving Gooden and because Sims is from Alabama) The problem was the staff underestimated how big and physical A&M front 4 and how good 51 was..once Moore started throwing the ball we were good to go! I think the next 2 games you will see the run game as the feature because Alcorn and Southern run defense isnt as good as A&M...

We can depend on this defense when they are under pressure...no real star player but we have play-makers. I want griff-badger to get another pic against dray, and I want cox to get one.

Griff-badger as he likes to call himself almost took one to the house against A&M he is leading the team in INTS this season with 3 I think when he listens to the coaches he usually finds himself in good position to make the play...He cost us one TD early because he made a bone head call and my boy Coach Dansby tore into him over that "You dont make no calls out there son"

 This ain't Hughes special teams.

Whatever you say TP. Whatever you say man.

You ain't going to convince us SU folks we have no chance. So you might as well realize it. None of yall are going to suit up on Dec 7th and none of yall know what your coaching staff will due in this game or if your players feel like they better win after losing last year's SCG.

SU will be loose as a goose coming into this game. No one thinks they will win but them and the Jag Nation. I love it. They ain't scared and they are going to come with mean intentions on Dec 7th. Turnovers will be the key as usual. None of us can predict who will have them. So carry on with the JSU gone score 50 and run SU out of Reliant. It is quite amusing.

If Dray was as good as ADVERTISED by the TSPN crew he would be killing the SWAC...I dont think he is that good of a qb he is decent for the SWAC but thats it...And with SU style of offense they should be able to handle our defense but they cant...no hate at all but Doss is the MAN on SU offense who can affect a game once he gets involved everyone else I havent seen except in that game against us...So I will be paying close attention to the Bayou Classic this year to see how you guys have improved...

JR, we have told ya'll how many times in the last 8 years that you will lose to JSU and how many times were were right? Upsets do happen but not that often. You got your upset last year. You are no better this year than you were last year. Your division just happens to be weaker. You don't even belong on the field with us and I think what you say is actually the opposite. JSU folks are not TRYING to convince ya'll that you have no chance. I think you all are trying to convince YOURSELVES that you do.
