AAMU and JSU Game

I am concerned about JSU being able to travel to Normal, AL. If they don't win the lawsuit against GSU, they may not have enough funds to take the trip up North. They never had enough money to bring the band. As you know JSU Fans buy tickets on game day, therefore, when they refund the $2000.00 for homecoming tickets they will be broke, unless they win the lawsuit against GSU by Nov 5, 2013. The case probably will come up in 2014 and they will need a new source of money prior to a court date. I will poll the my retired group to see if we can agree to buy JSU some fuel to make it to Normal, AL. If all fail, the JSU chemical law can make some fuel from cotton seeds. I don't know why I am always trying to bail JSU out of terrible situations they get themselves into.

Hey MD

I was going to ask you about this. We need to begin the process of moving this game to Jackson. Who do I write to get the process started? It makes no sense to have this game in Huntsville. Non of your fans are going to be there and Huntsville is a place that our fans REALLY REALLY hate coming to. So I will contact your AD and Pres to get this started. Please do what you can to help move the game.

The Boom will be there, too.

I'm flying out of Charlotte to see that beat down in person.

Yeah, I'm going to fly out Friday afternoon straight to Huntsville. There are quite a few of us from Charlotte and Atlanta making the trip.

Nonchalant, we're having a JSU Mixer Friday night and Tailgate on Saturday morning starting at 10:00 am. GR claim he was coming one year but decided to ride the bus Saturday morning instead.

Hey MD, while you worried if JSU can get to Hicksville, how bout y'all move them visitor's side stands about 100 yards closer to the field. 'Preciate it, in advance.

I hate to say this, but Huntsville's airport is just one down from Jackson, MS airport in passenger enplanement in 2012.

I'm sure if Baton Rouge wasn't so close to New Orleans where there are more flights at a cheaper fare and to way more destinations, they would rank a lot higher. By its runways being so short, Baton Rouge's airport is not equipment to handle a lot flights. I bet approximately 50% of the people in the Baton Rouge's area fly out of New Orleans. Not only New Orleans is getting a new terminal, but it is constantly adding new fly. I do believe it will be well over the pre-Katrina numbers by next year, which is approximately 6 million passengers a year and it's not a hub airport. If Southwest start using the hub system, it would probably be one of Southwest's hub.

Thanks, man. I'll definitely let the crew know.

If you have a Facebook flyer, send it to me and I'll send it to some folks in the area who don't post on TSPN for you.

In March 2011 the Jackson–Evers International Airport was ranked the 8th-best airport in a worldwide consumer survey conducted by Airports Council International (ACI). It was the only airport in the United States to be ranked in the top ten.[4]

It is always clean, you go in and get out fast, hassle free, and without waiting 20 hours even during the holiday season. They lost a carrier about 3 years ago so that dropped the number of passengers down. Delta absorbed those routs and cut them back. They just added a non-stop Jackson to D.C route last year.

That's great, but I'm surprise to see my little hometown ranking higher than a few cities, such as Montgomery, AL, Monroe, LA, and Lake Charles, LA. I'm sure its passengers usage come from Fort Polk, Northwestern State, LSUA, and LC.

185 Alexandria International 189,476

And that number doesn't include all the people the military fly in-direct from overseas on military transports or commercial airlines that the military uses to fly their troops. The military built a separate terminal for flying troops in and out of the airport.

ONe of these years Ima make the mixer...but you dont understand how easy and comfortable that bus ride is. You aint gotta do nothing but take something to knock you out, get one of them top notch neck pillows, and by the time you wake up you are at your car. I wish we wouldve starting doing that 29 years ago.

It' suppose to look better it's brand new. And Jackson suffers from the surrounding cities...Pearl,Brandon,Madison, Byram,Ridgeland, clinton all make up Jackson Metro. But who cares this is not a competition so why bring it up in the first place. Metro Jackson is bigger than Huntsville though...
