PV has yet to play a team with Defense. Yes we give up plays but in the end you only score 14 points...Even Tenn State only scored a true 14 on the D...Pick 6 and INT inside the red zone helped them...

PV can score but we will limit their touches IE Southern...No touches no way to put up 60 pernts. You cannot try to out gun a gun slinging team...

Valley in the Delta is the biggest worry...They play hard but we will wear them down..

I agree. PV is small on defense. You can run with them big backs and just keep them off the field. Unlike SU, yall can pressure their QB. I expect JSU to win against both PB and PV. Now I will say this. Since Dooley and Orlando are the OCs at those schools, they know JSU defenses well. So if Comegy lets Moore get to free lancing out there and try to get into a shoot out, it may end badly. Just tell Fat Rick to run the damn ball. Although I think against PB, you might need to pass the ball more because usually their defense aint bad.

But hey this is the SWAC and anything can happen.

PB is actually the WORST in the Swac in Rushing defense which is shocking to me. I think we had a good balance of run and pass during the SU game. If we keep it simple and switch it up i think we will be fine. The coaches just need to run the dayum ball and stop with the 5 wideout Air Raid isht, with everybody running 30 yards downfiled smh.

Comegy is the coach and he is bound to give up a game or two that on paper we are not suppose to Lose. I just hope this is the year he gets it right. We havent had a turnover in two games and they address the penalty problem against sTu so right now ole Rick is doing a good job. I think the game plan against SU in the first half was a little off. Hopefully they come out of the gate swinging against PB
 
If Comegy does what he is suppose to do this could get ugly for teams...We are on a downhill stretch as far the schedule goes the next big test is PV and Valley...Im glad they have put a leash on Moore and his quest to be superman out there..And not too many teams in the SWAC can stop the run which is our strength...If we had a qb who could pass then it would really get ugly for the SWAC. o well one win at a time!

This game does not scare me at all...it is a revenge game for obvious reasons, but still we have to play at a very high level to stay undefeated. Pv worries me just a little, last year we held them to 13 points im looking for a repeat. It is teams like valley who want to win SO BADLY and they want to win a game but def want to beat jsu. They have nothing to lose it will be like playing su all over again they will get up for us. I fear the valley because if we lose, i may slit my wrist WIDE OPEN :lmao:

Im there! It would be Pine Bluff giving up the home date. I think that game would be good for JSU and gives our Northerners a game to drive to. UAPB probably wants that classic back and bringing JSU into the fold will help them. Now if we can just get AAMU to move their game. :D
 
I would rather play SU or PV in the SCG.

But let's hope JSU does not have some meltdown first.. LOL

As for UAPB.. after this SU win, Memorial should be rockin and we should be kickin azz. It's time for our offense to get on a roll.
 
UAPB is not the same team as it was in the preseason roster. We have an all freshmen D-line and new players in the secondary of defense. The young guys are playing hard and learning...but again we are not the team that was on the preseason roster. We are totally different team.

SU tried to play conservative with a ball control team.

Stopping the run is the key to beating PV. They have no game breakers playing WR. #4 is ok.

Hoskins got injured before the season started & I believe Shaw left before or during summer camp......don't know for sure....:noidea:

It just looked like you were playing conservative. You did your best but we play defense. I keep trying to tell yall that you dont have the offense you think you have. Your offense is just not that great. You live off crossing patterns and short passes to the TE. Once we shut that down you couldnt move the ball.

The truth is your offense just aint that good. Your scheme not that great. Factor our PV and you havent scored more than 17 points on FCS teams. Thats not a great offense. SUs offense is like JSUs offense in the mid 90s under Shannon. Put up 100 points on bad Valley and Alcorn teams, but when they faced a team with half a clue, they coudlnt score 20 points. When you face a good defense Im not saying that you should score 40, put at least put up 24 points and give your team a chance.
 
I honestly dont see JSU losing to PB but if that does happen then that will help Alcorn too but again dont see PB beating JSU, especially in Jackson

We might beat them worse than anybody we play or has played... if pb gets up for us (they will) the first half will be horrid. By the third quarter, the emotions have worn off and it is time to play football. The reason we might actually get in their azz is not because they beat us last year, they beat us TWICE and we lost the scg. Yea it will not be nice.
