What was the most heartbreaking loss you suffered as a fan of your team?

Last year Superbowl and the loss to the Giants in the NFC championship in 2012. man, Pop's drank a 5th of crown royal black after that NFC championship game.

Like most .... SU/ Alcorn 1994 .... I was 14 and it still hurts!

Penguins/Flyers ..... quarterfinals in the early 2000's .... five overtimes ..... and f-in Keith Primeau! If i could have committed murder that night .......

2004 vs. SU. We block the field goal but SU defender intercepts lateral...:smh::smh:.

1999 vs. JSU 58-6. Worst loss vs. JSU

2008 Cowboys loss to Giants. It took their asses 3 times to beat us.

1999 McNair loses Superbowl on one yard. That hurt. SU and JSU celebrated that night.

Alcorn specializes in winning World Wars against the Jaguar Nation.

Which is why I know SU craves a win vs. Alcorn more than a win vs. Grambling and JSU.

No we didn't. Folks were McNair fans after he left Alcorn. I was actually mad he did lose that game and was cursing Jeff Fisher out the whole damn year and game for not turning Mac loose. SU folks hold no animosity towards Alcorn and Mac. I am sure JSU folks don't either. Everyone was a Mac fan except for the day he played your school. After that. I knew no one who was anti Mac from the SWAC.

Exactly. He wants Alcorn to be our main rival so bad  . I can't think of one SU fan that I know who didn't cheer for mcNair. He reaped the SWAC to the fullest. Made us look good.

1996 TSU lose to the defending NCAA basketball champs, Arkansas, by 1 point in the first sound of tournament. We make history with a win.

That is my #1... my #2 is losing to Grambling in San Antonio, TX in the Alamodome in 2000 with a stake at going to the SWAC Championship game on the line. All those sTu car flags flying high up I-10 West to support an undefeated sTu Tiger team against a one loss Grambling team. I remember as late as the week of the game (Tuesday) Doug and Grambling was prepared NOT to make the trip due to not getting the up front portion of the money from the promoters.

When our QB Adam Lamb went down with a back injury right before halftime..... :smh:

Dude you are delusional. SU don't crave a win against Alcorn. We just kicked your arse for Homecoming with Stump as our coach in 2011. You are Homecoming bait again. Don't flatter yourself. You get a fake punt win last year and lose your mind. LOL. The Jags don't give Alcorn that kind of cred. We simply don't hate Alcorn like that. You will never be a rivalry with us. It will always be Grambling, JSU and FAMU as SU's all time rivals. You can pick any of those 3 in any order depending on what Jag you talk to. But Alcorn is never considered on the level of those schools when it comes to SU folks. So stop the commentary. LOL.

I have a 3-way tie.

1. Super Bowl XIII, Dallas loses to Pittsburgh 31-17. Between Jackie Smith dropping that game tying TD, that bogus PI call against Benny Barnes checking Lynn Swann (absolute worst penalty in SB history) and Randy White trying to return a damn kickoff with a cast on his broken right hand, I was devastated.

1. The Catch game, Dallas loses to 49ers 28-27. People don't remember that Dallas got the ball back after that catch. Drew Pearson caught a pass over the middle and the DB had to horse collar him with damn near one finger to keep him from running away and scoring. We were just outside Septien's FG range when Lawrence Pillars sacked him and caused a fumble.

1. 2001 World Series, Diamondbacks beat my Yankees in Game 7. Raphael Soriano hit tiebreaking HR in the top of the 9th inning. Mo Rivera blew the save in the bottom. I had already started playing Frank Sinatra after the Soriano HR. New York, New York!!! Talk about sick.

I take all that back. Most heartbreaking loss was that damn SCG last year.

Giants vs Rams Divisional Playoff game. Jim Everette found Flipper Anderson deep for a touchdown to beat the Giants in overtime
Giants vs Vikings '97 Wildcard playoff game at the Meadowland. Minnesota came back and beat the Giants.
Giants vs 49ers '03 Wildcard Playoff game at Candlestick Park. Giants blew a huge lead. Jeff Garcia and TO were on fire in the second half.

 I think we all were McNair fans....

Pine Bluff SCG was rough to see 2 damm minutes........:smh:

Grambling 2006 after the fight they kicked our ass on the field...

SU 1999...:smh:

I hated seeing the Bills lose those damm Super Bowls!
Any World Series the Braves lost..
And the no pass interference call against my Niners!

Lol this dude is on one lol...

I actually like going to Norman or lorman whatever they play at Lmao...and most jags do...it may be the best tailgating place for us Jags..

I would say they are in the top 2 lmao

MVSU

The year we just KNEW we were gone win the SWAC in basketball because we had the best team, and Ra'Kim Hollis punkass hits that halfcourt shot in Itta Bena to knock us out of the tournament

The year we played JSU for their homecoming and we were driving and alllllllllllllllll Coach Totten had to do was run the ball to set up a simple field goal, but he elects to pass the ball and everyone that was there knows what happened next...................

Cubs

Bartman

Cowboys

Losing to Giants as a #1 seed and the Seattle playoff loss.

The 2011 Divisional Playoff game against San Fran killed my soul. You want to talk about going from an ecstatic high to a soul crushing low. I felt like someone close to me died after that one. :bawling:

The collapse of the 2002 New Orleans Saints season. :smh:

The way my Jaguars lost in 2007.

The Braves collapse against the Yankees in 96.

Losing Derrick Rose after a game 1 win against the Sixers, and then losing the series against them.

I could go on and on.

SCG vs UAPB 2012...One minute, we're partying and the next minute we're looking like WTF. I still don't understand how you dominate a game like that and gift wrap it in 2 minutes.

And the infamous clock mismanaged game against Grambling in 2011. It was some pissed off folks in Memorial that day. That 2011 JSU team should have been undefeated that year.

That was crazy to watch...when Donovan Robinson laid that hit on ole boy, I could have sworn I felt Memorial shake as the crowd erupted.

I know I didn't.. I think I was the only Titan fan at the party and to told everybody what was about to happen. I said, they gonna snap the ball to McNair, they gonna send the house at him.. he gonna make them LBs look silly, then he is gonna throw the ball in the endzone for a TD.. all of that happened except the TD..

I think my most hurtful moment was Comegy's first year at JSU when we went into OT with TNState. We scored first in OT. Then TSU got the ball and they also scored a TD, but they botched snapped for the the extra point. I jumped up in the air screaming "YES!". Then the QB picked up the ball and just threw it into the endzone for an unplanned 2 point conversion. :( I went up saying "YES" and came down saying "Nooooooooooooooooooooooooo!".
